While I respect your opinion about horses in Skyrim, I think they are a lot better than walking. However, if you have the Anniversary Edition, I think it is better to buy a map of wild horses, finding a wild horse, taming it, then registering the horse and buying armor for it. As for choosing the Rueful Axe, it is meant as a punishment for killing Barbas.

I made quite a few of those bad decisions during my adventures with Skyrim. Some of them were because of lack of proper knowledge, but later I started making those 'bad' decisions purely for roleplay reasons - and I love that Skyrim allows us to choose our way. Great video. Thanks!

Did you not know that horses can climb WAY more efficient than the player? You can scale the tallest mountain probably 50% faster

As far as horses go, there is also the Daedra horse you can summon but completing its DLC, as well as shadowmere.

I decided to give it a try with a new save and fortunately went to the dark brotherhood almost at the beginning. The jester was too annoying for me to handle him through the whole quest line. I tried to kill him, but unfortunately it's not possible 😢

I disagree about the adding towers to the Hearthfire homes. While it isn't necessary at Lakeview Manor, I do recommend it for the other two. If you add wings to the main hall, then these homes can be attacked. Bandits will actually follow you into the house. I use the tower both, as an escape route, and a vantage point for fighting. Bandits will follow you out of the tower, but you can jump to the roof where they can't follow. Lakeview Manor has some rocks you can climb up on, so you can fight from there. The other two houses do not, so I would add at least one of the towers to them. Of course, if you do not add any wings then your home won't be attacked.

My current playthrough Im actually gonna choose Astrid. Ill miss Babette and Nazir and Shadowmere but. My current character is morally grey and only going after who goes after her, so this plays into that. Still debating on Thieves Guild cause they kinda fit into the moral grey area... I did the entire Dark Brotherhood questline in my first playthrough, but I've killed Astrid every time since. I also use the console to disable Brynjolf whenever I set foot in Riften with a new character to avoid the equally boring thieves guild questline, but that's not as satisfying as actually getting to sneak into the headquarters of a guild of assassins and assassinate them all.

I agree with all of these decisions, exactly how I did it on my last playthrough. Some additional ideas: Once you have to kill Narfi, and finished his small quest before, he qualifies for the Ebony Blade quest of killing 10 people that trust you. And I often try to delay finishing the Barbas quest, so that I have an invulnerable dog companion in addition to any other normal companion follower. One minor bad decision that I remember making was killing certain people (Alain Dufont & Nirsine Shattershield) before even receiving the DB quest, thus not qualifiying to even get the extra reward for Nirsine.

In Cicero example: it is even worse "lore" speaking - basically Astrid betrayed and he wanted to kill her.

-It's build dependent but killing Cicero is needed if you're doing dragon skin build that gives you tons of armor if you have no armor on. And I did a challenge character where I wasn't allowed to craft/enchant/brew. So it was 1 of 2 of my top armor sets I could use for my build. That some people just want to kill him anyway. -And for the Rueful axe thing about helmets. Isn't there more unique helmets than all axes and unique axes combined? Because of all the dragon priest masks. The axe is still not worth it though compared to the helmet. -Still a good video for newer players. Has a focus on the brotherhood but makes sense with your background. Video only seems silly to me because I have been playing for years and it all seems like common sense to me.

I considered that. But when I think about it I don't use The Black Star much, and I've never had a hard time finding Black/Grand soul gems when I need them. So, I decided not to put that on the list. But ya the Black Star is the better choice for that quest.

I like choosing Azura's Star over the Black Star for similar reasons, but also for roleplay reasons: pissing off Azura is how Chimer became Dunmer, plenty of Dragonborns wouldn't be inclined to spitting in her eye.

Horses can be fixed with mods. Get convenient horses, faster horses mounted combat overhaul and horses become fantastic. Especially if playing survival

I only destroyed the DB once when I was roleplaying as a righteous Imperial knight who did no evil and fanatically supported the Emperor. After dealing with Astrid's BS on so many playthroughs, it felt extremely satisfying to take care of Astrid and the entire sanctuary. I never really liked the other assassins like I did in Oblivion.

I enjoy taking out the Dark Brotherhood. Ultimately, I roleplay, I play what my character is likely to do, and taking them out just makes sense, as you even said in your video. Yeah, you miss out on those quests... But I've done them many times before and will do them many times again. ^_^

Strictly for evil playthroughs. Killing the emporer is cool, but the whole questline is too short and not complicated enough. They should've made it a part of the main questline imo.

All just personal takes man - Rueful is good if it's modded - I don't build the alchemy table in the main hall when roleplaying an alchemist - Cicero's chest piece can be very useful and also looks sexy on females - Horses are good, again especially if your game is modded and you play survival - Narfi's quest isn't all that - Etc

You can get the ancient shrouded set without even starting the dark brotherhood quests if you know what your doing and that set is the only reason I tolerated that boring questline, honestly destroy the dark brotherhood tends to be more fun. The Oblivion dark brotherhood quests were soo much better, just like the oblivion thieves guild quests.

have you heard of a mod called Wobums the black horse ? he will change your opinion of horses in Skyrim ... he's everything the vanilla horses ain't and he climbs even better especially if you have an increased jump mod in your loadout

Incorrect on #3. Always side woth him. Easy spot for 4 spawns of dedrea hearts. Unless they also spawn in if you choose the dagger.

If you choose the dagger Mehrune sends two daedra to fight you just to check that you're strong enough to be worthy, and each one carries a key to the shrine, so you can go in and kill the two daedra in there.

I'm just not keen on the Dark Brotherhood quests and Cicero is definitely _NOT_ a character I like. He's just so damn well annoying to me. Plus, I've been attacked by assassins in the past that have a note from Astrid telling them, to kill my Dragonborn. So that, somewhat, irks me.

About the best light armour in the game. Yes the Ancient Shrouded armour is verry good. I like it a lot, it look really cool and has really good armour points and enchantments. However, the DeathBrand armour is 100% Hands Down the best armour in the game, light or heavy. Assuming you have the Dragonborn DLC you just can't beat the DeathBrand set.
