The problem is that neither of those developers has any talent for making games. It takes them way too long to remove major problems (as in several games) and even then they only add something in that is almost as bad in its place. Take the Juggernaut perk for example. Everyone hated it, but it took three games between the two companies to to finally get rid of it, only to replace it with Painkiller. There's a game on Kongregate.com (Contract Wars) which is almost at the level of any given CoD game, but with a fraction of the amount of developers working on it and a very small budget, if any, so there's no excuse whatsoever for CoD being the way it is.

Midget Tosser Well maybe if they weren't forced to have a 2 year development cycle they would've come up with something different.Besides there's really not much you can add to an FPS these days,or at least I can't think of anything original you could(or maybe I have a poor imagination lol).IMO the only thing they can do is get rid of some annoying stuff and do some balancing.And merging the two studios might be good cause even with the 2 year development they'd still have more people working on the game.But even if activision did that they'd still be popping COD out every year which is a shame.Also COD ghosts was utter shit (and that's coming from a die hard COD fan so that probably means they've got to change something).

The problem isn't the development time, though. They have a ton of people working on each game and yet the game I mentioned earlier (Contract Wars), which had only a handful of developers and little-to-no budget is almost on par with any given entry in the CoD franchise. The problem is laziness and lack of creativity. And,@TheMaverick234, there's a lot you can do with an FPS. Take a look at Battlefield, Red Orchestra or Arma if you don't believe it. CoD's system is the crudest form of an FPS and should not be looked to as the beacon of creativity that it is commonly accepted as.

I get where you're coming from. I have a friend who loved the campaign too. I'm more of an RPG guy so I'm very particular about how stories are done. I also get how the online would be bad from your perspective. Since it's COD it obviously has issues that have been there since COD4 like spawn logic (or lack thereof.) I liked how the had some decent sized maps again. (For COD anyway) I liked a few of the weapons too, but like I said I understand the things that would turn a person off from the online there were some pretty bullshit things like being spawned in someone's crosshairs. (I've been on both sides of that one.)

Stephan Sanchez, yhea but thier where a few other ones too. First the game is too easy, multiplayer is so easy with the health being too low. Second you had to choose your objective that you wanted to do whitch is stupid for cod because it makes it hard to level up. The 3rd thing is that the game has is that the guns are too OP because the health is so low.

I agree, and although Rome 2 is much improved from the release, it's still not a Total War game I love to play, and so far I've only played it to try and get my moneys worth, not because I truly enjoy it. It's still unplayable without mods imo, and I always play the TW vanilla first, Rome 2 being the exception :(

I like sim city ok. Then again I bought it when it was discounted. It's fun to play a little but annoying at how little land you get. You can make it work but you're limited into making one type of city regardless of what you'd really like to do.

Peyote Cowboy That's pretty much it, Sim city 4 offered huge amounts of variation, and the modding from the community furthered that! Sim City at launch was unplayable, so much so they had to disable everything to even get it slightly stable! They took away to many features, claimed to much and delivered very little which cost them alot of fans in my view! I think it was one of the worst reviewed items I've ever seen, especially on Amazon!

Yeah. I think the biggest problem with EA that I've seen this year is that they don't do enough bug testing prior to release. They're too eager to push a release date that is unreasonable and therefore wind up having to double back and fix stuff that should have been fixed long before.

The thing with battlefield 4 is that it's not a bad game, okay yes at start it had some shitty ass bugs and problems. But once they sorted them out or sort them out, it will be a pretty decent game....

A bad choice is a bad choice regardless; no possibility to even change the terrain so you just play the same map over and over again until you know how to optimize it (that also means that curve roads are not allowed if you want to have a good city), extremely little city limit, you can't even rotate objects because they have to be perpendicular to the roads, you want me to continue? It's a reboot that is missing features (like the single player mode or some buildings that are now dlc) on purpose; you can't have everything on your own, you HAVE to rely on others (again, because of th city limits) that will leave the city or just dissappear because or the terrible servers. Believe it or not, I like this game, but that doesn' mean that I have to be blind on everything this game is lacking or doing wrong. I hope you get what I mean with that ;)

The only connection would be the one where I said you have to use others' cities to play well but even then I focused on the fact that the servers still crash and that the flaw is manly in the fact that you can't do everything on your own regardless, you can't be indipendent, it's forced multiplayer in a game that should have focused on single player. Are you just trying to ignore every reason I gave to you? Because I can give you more :P
