Honestly, unless you're playing a mill deck (in which case graceful tear might be better), it's most certainly better than the next 6 spots on the list, I don't think he made that up. Is it bad enough to be on the list? I don't know. Most life point gain cards are little better than a dead draw if you play against a meta deck, so I don't know if it's the 7th, the 10th, or the 13th worst life point gain card, but it certainly is better than the next 6. So you have good life point gain cards, average ones, bad ones, and then clearly the worst that can be neatly arranged in a clear top 6 or 5. Within "bad" they all sort of blend in and it's hard to tell which is worse. You could try the empirical route and see which winning decks contain the most copies of one of these cards, but "0 for all" don't really give much information. Perhaps a good way to test would be to make a deck which is specifically trying to counter the meta, splash 1 copy of the card into the deck, play until you've gotten that card in your hand for at least 7 duels, and then repeat for each card you're testing.

Misread this as Top 10 cards that give your card(s) to your opponent's hand. The following is what I wrote before realising my mistake. :x #1 would probably be Exchange. There may be better cards with that effect, but even though you don't get to choose which card (unless you have only 1 card in your hand, or multiple copies of 1 card) the fact you can take a card from your opponent's hand of your choice while seeing their entire hand and potentially putting a specific card in your opponent's hand does give it some niche usefulness. After all, one of the hardest places for your opponent to recover a card from is your hand. Shout out to Magical Contract Door though for being a generic searcher of Level 7 or 8 DARK monsters - and as such having some *very* good targets.

There was a LP gain deck you could use in the YGO GX GBA game, but it was really only used in one event where you could duel one of the teachers after failing the monthly exam, and they'd give you money equal to your remaining LP at the end of the duel. Since the goal was just to maximize your LP, there wasn't really a win condition apart from standard beatdown or deckout, since you weren't really trying to win so much as not lose. The goal was to get cards like Cure Mermaid, Spirit of the Breeze, or Dancing Fairy on the field and then use Spells/Traps to keep them alive as long as possible, or utilize an AI exploit that forces all of their monsters into Defense position if you control the highest-ATK monster on the field.

Due to the wording of the card, Muscle Medic's effect applies to both players, so you can use it to crash into your opponent's high attack monsters to gain LP. Alternatively, if this is the only monster on your side of the field during the battle phase, your opponent is going to have to use a card effect to destroy it, unless they're willing to waste an attack that will only result in a heal for you. A Fire Princess deck would benefit from gaining the 2,200 life points since you could then burn the opponent for 500 life points for each Fire Princess on your side of the field, but setting up Muscle Medic on the opponent's side of the field in order to abuse such a setup is so resource intensive that you'd rather spend time on much better/effective cards. 8:46 I thought of a retrain for it: same first effect, but also when either player gains or looses LP, you can activate all copies of this card from any combination of your hand, deck, field or graveyard for a free 200 LP each, but the cards used this way are banished after activation, all at spell speed 4. Not much LP gained, but its almost never dead, and can handily thwart OTK attempts that are overly precise, and also get up to three cards in the banished zone for the sake of other cards that benefit from that sort of thing (like Gren Maju).

The Immortal of Thunder graveyard effect does not actually trigger unless it was flipped in the first place. The 5000 LP loss is part of the flip effect. The only situation where the owner would lose 5000 LP without first gaining 3000 LP is if the opponent controls Immortal of Thunder when it flips, since it is always the owner who loses the 5000 LP but the 3000 LP gain affects the controlling player.

There are a few ways to circumvent The Immortal of Thunder's downsides. 1: Use it as an XYZ Material, like you suggested. 2: Return it to the hand and use it for discard-fodder or something. 3: Return it from the Field to the Deck. 4: Banish it while it's face-up on the Field. Neither returning a card to the hand or deck or banishing it counts as sending a card from the field to the graveyard. Ergo, it's not quite as hard to circumvent that terrible card's bad effect as you made it sound like... It's just not really worth the effort either.

Muscle Medic did help win in a Deck Build Challenge over on Hardleg's channel, where the goal was to loose all your life points.

Cards that break the written rules. Ex. Cards that can un-banish themselves, cards that skip phases, cards that allow you to take actions that are normally exclusive to your turn during your opponent's turn.

You could compulsory evacuation device The Immortal of Thunder to avoid it hitting grave or run something that banishes cards from the field.
@olehart58502 жыл бұрын
You could, but putting a bad card in your deck that isn't easy to search for one interaction with a different card that isn't easy to search so you can go - 2 for essentially nothing important in exchange, isn't very good.

U can also use macro cosmos dimension fissure or d shifter to banish immortal of thunder so it can be sent to grave

If Mooyan Curry was a quick play spell then it could be useful to save urself from losing the duel if the monster that attacking u have atk points that about to defeat u but activate this quick spell card could give u 200 lp and if its good enough it might save u and continue one round more.

In elementary school we used to play with 4000 LP (as you do) and my friend was a little bit liberal with reading card text and read Jenis as 500 burn damage and heal PER card send to the graveyard. Which meant 1500 damage during each end phase while he conrolled Jenis and any other ol' lightsworn. Since nobody had a good deck that would put on any pressure in 3 turns it was usually just gg.

I remember those bullshit playground rules. A classmate had everyone convinced that Cyber Dragon's self-summon effect ignores itself, and regularly summoned 3 CDs in turn 1

I have a deck that summons Muscle Medic, then uses equip spells like power of the guardians to increase its attack a bunch then double edge sword (i think that’s the card) to attack directly and heal both players to the millions, then I have a copy of outstanding dog marron so i have endphase discard fodder, then i just wait for the opponent to deck out

I saw a funny interaction with Muscle Medic where they would make Numerounius Numerounia, give it to their opponent, and then attack it with Muscle Medic and use another card to give it battle protection. This would increase their life points by 97,800, which is hilarious. A good strategy? No, not at all. But it's hilarious.

You can tell how old Hysteric Fairy is (and how little anyone cares about it) by the fact that its card text hasn't been updated and still has the clunky old "Offer 2 monsters on your side of the field as a Tribute" wording.

For Immortal of Thunder, you CAN use it to help you get off the effect of Life Equalizer, but it still is really bad, especially since even then, Wall of Revealing Light does a much better job at it! PS: If you just want ridiculous LP gains btw, either go Manticore of Darkness loop with Card of Safe Return and Solemn Wishes out (gain up to ~27K LP on 60 card decks) or Dark Snake Syndrome with Prime Material Dragon (way slower and gives LP to opponent too, but is the single biggest LP gain possible after a lot of turns in a 2v2 co-op setting with 60 cards each capping at a few multiples of SEPTILLION LP per turn after like 110+ turns, even 1v1).

The good thing about Muscle Medic is being a level 4 monster that can punch over Cyber Dragon. It's not like any of rely on one monster to knock our opponent's life points out.

Goblin Attack Force can do that too. And they're both Warriors so both searchable by Reinforcement of the Army.

This is an old video and this comment will likely not be seen, but you misread the effect of Muscle Medic. It's not that all damage it deals becomes healing, but rather that all damage from battles INVOLVING it does. Meaning that you gain life points too when your opponent beats over it, or if you ram it into a defense position monster with high defense. It's a minor difference and doesn't stop it from being a bad card, but it does open up slightly more bad gimmicks than you gave it credit for.

Would the Life Point gain mechanic be better if powerful cards had more set life point costs? Like Cyber-Stein's pay 5000 LP, or maybe a future card that requires 9000 LP.
