How about villains that are evil because they're evil or do evil things because they're evil? Is it too much to ask for a villain to be evil BECAUSE of the things they do. Extra points if the evil thing makes sense because your villain has actual goals and turns to villainy to achieve them.

A few more to add if I may.... 1. Talking to the dial tone.....I hate this one so much. A character is talking on the phone and the other person hangs up and all we hear is dial tone and the character keeps talking or saying hello and I’m like “they hung up, you’re talking to a DIAL TONE!!” 2. You see this one in action films, many times in Steven Seagal movies. The good guy has just killed like 5 or 6 bad guys, most of the time with his bare hands and next thing you know another 5 bad guys come charging at the good guy as if they think they are going to do any better. Like come on guys he just killed your buddies do you really think this is going to help??

One cliche I hate to dear end is when a villain is about to kill the main character or another important character when all of the sudden they stop what they're doing when the smallest distractions occur. This happens a hell of a lot more than you'd expect, it's like as if the villain has ADHD all of the sudden, and they never follow up to what they were about to do. It's fine if there's an actual distraction, like if an alarm was just pulled or an explosion went off in the same room, but half the time it's the equivalent of hearing a breeze in the fucking woods. This cliche is super stupid, as even the most focused villains end up being distracted for almost no reason. This cliche is the equivalent of bullshit man's head.

I feel like I can not be satisfied. On one hand, I appreciate the concise nature of this video; On the other, I desire a more drawn out, even redundant explanation of things.

the 360° shot can work in certain situations though, such as when the main character is surrounded by a bunch of people we didn’t see in the earlier shots, or to show that they’ve suddenly moved to another location. Basically if it’s not establishing anything it’s pointless.

What about when the bad guy wants to demonstrate his power by having someone with reason to kill him, shave him?

I think he'd give that the same treatment as the new Ghostbusters movie.

To be honest, I hate it when people get into the the theater while the trailers already started. You finally settled down and people come in shoving their phonelights in your face etc. Why can't you be on time? Tickets have a time on them, that's when the advertisments start, so at point you still have plenty of time to get you shit together. So be on TIME. Of course there are exceptions where there's still a line in front of the room and you can't help it, but 9 times out of 10 that isn't the case.

The worst ever by a longshot is the "boy sees a sexy girl and the video goes slomo and you get the cheesy love music" cliché. That NEVER happens in real life the way it happens in the movies.

I don't know what you call this cliche but it's the, Person is trying to tell the truth about some person in authority and their best friend/partner whatever of many missions/years doesn't believe that the authority figure is the monster/villain whatever because the authority figure has money or just says some bs and the best friend takes idiot pills and instantly believes them.

The movie cliche that really ticks me off is when a guy or guys wear long ankle length slickers/trenchcoats, especially doing the slow walk. It's like a 10 year old boy's idea of what a cool guy looks like. It can be pulled off in a western sometimes but anything else and it just looks douchie to me. It feels like the same people that think wrestling is real probably had the idea to wear the slicker thinking it would look cool. If I see a dbag wearing a long leather trenchcoat/slicker trying to do a cool slow walk I can't stop the film fast enough.

Another Die Hard "win" for #1 "wait to kill": Hans tries that and then flips the trope... "NO BULLETS!" (Die Hard MAY be one of the best movies ever? IDK)

I have to call out that number one is just a general trope of fiction in any form of media. MegaMan is my go to example over the classic James Bond trope inference though

What about the cliché you see in every martial arts movie the one man army cliché where one person beats up about 100 people by himself.
