In the goblet of fire (book), Barty didn’t explain his plan to Harry. But instead, wanted to kill him early, but Dumbledore and the rest of the teachers came and stopped, they even forced him to let out the truth by making him drink a potion

When the characters go into the house in a horror movie, realize it’s haunted, and not leave immediately

The 'Jump Scare' in horrors when a person startles another person by placing their hand on their shoulder. In reality, they'd just call out the persons name or the person would of heard the person's footsteps.

Don't forget another horror movie cliché. One character being chased, falls to the floor somehow and acts like they can't walk again. Another cliché of a villian i genuinely hate is when the villian is about to get a powerful object that they want and move so slowly to grab it giving heroes enough time to stop them

"Don't forget another horror movie cliché. One character being chased, falls to the floor somehow and acts like they can't walk again" Actually it is possible to so overwhelmed with fear that you can't get back up and run. So I think it is more realistic to have the characters act like they can't walk again

@@whirl43that one makes sense because if you are villain, why would walk so slow (unless you wanna give the hero a chance first). That is probably tied with the ending to the tortoise and the hare with how stupid it is

Babrie is literally about how society has such large beauty standards that sometimes a woman who's absolutely beautiful feels ugly. That's why Barbie thought that she was ugly. That's what her friend told her when saw her crying, how she couldn't believe that someone as beautiful as her thought that she's not beautiful enough. And not just beautiful, but also Barbie thought that she's not good enough as in "I didn't accomplish anything special in my life so my existence is meaningless". They even made a joke in the movie about how they shouldn't have cast Margot Robbie if they wanted Barbie to not be beautiful.

It’s always great when movies or shows subvert or make jokes about cliches. I’ll let someone else talk about the syndrome monologue thing coz everyone should know, but I want to talk about something else. In a series of gunpla ads called gunpla-Kun, there’s a specific ad where gunpla-kun (the rx-78-2 character) tries to recreate a scene where he takes down a bunch of doms one by one. Unfortunately for him, the doms all attack him at the same time, easily overwhelming the poor thing.

😂every cop movie where one detective who’s been at the crime scene longer is getting the one who just arrived up to speed on what happened and then a CSI tech interrupts and says “you guys are gonna wanna see this…”. (Then of course the part where both detectives look at each other in a dramatic way before following the tech)

I feel like with Kill Bill, Tarantino was deliberately trying to amp that cliché up to the most absurd level. Weren't there like 88 guys she had to kill one at a time? Doesn't mean it therefore cannot be annoying, but I like just how absurd that guy can go.

You didn't mention a character getting shot and still being able to run and fight. And by the end of the movie, they're fine. I want to make a realistic action movie where the hero gets shot in the first gunfight and then is bedridden for months and has lifelong health problems after that. Meanwhile, the movie continues with someone else who didn't get shot as the main character.
