How BTO could be so low in that list is amazing. Many of those groups can only dream of being rock bands.

That televised final show was … I don’t even know, it’s literally beyond words.

Number 9 was the fist dance with my beautiful wife Kelly at our wedding in 2014. I loved that song since I was a little kid in the 80s. Sadly since 2022 the song has taken on a much different meaning. If it’s a real place, I know that’s where she’ll be, waiting to throw me another one of her amazing, elaborate and heart warming surprise parties. I just hope the man at the door allows me in. Until then, I’ll keep singing… “Baby, you're all that I want When you're lyin' here in my arms I'm findin' it hard to believe …you’re in Heaven”

I’m from Vancouver and I liked Nickleback’s first two albums a lot, curb and the state, and the first of many times I saw them, i must have been in grade 11, they opened for Silverchair in 2000 at the weirdest venue that a lot of bands played earlier in their careers. It Was the Croatian Cultural Centre lol maybe 1500 capacity, 2000 people at the most. To give u an idea of how small it was, I even played there a few times in 2 different bands lol. Anyways, as soon as Nickleback started playing I remember thinking that they were one of the tightest bands I’d heard live. They were locked in from the get go. Man, actually I saw slipknot at that same place touring for their first album, Damage plan was there maybe 2 months before Dimebag was killed. Rancid, Hatebreed, lots of metal bands that wanted an all ages venue perhaps. I possibly Deftones once there too, saw finger eleven there a few times on their first couple albums too, they were always good. Uugh sorry for rambling, this is brought back a lot of old memories!

"lol" What a joke ! So many single artists and bands left out, if it wasn't from the marketing of big money music producers you could have a much better and accurate result. Where is Lighthouse, Stampeders, Five Men Electrical Band, Major Hoople Boardinghouse, Triumph, Tea Party, April Wine, Trooper, Glass Tiger, Offenback, Our Lady Peace, Honeymoon Suite and so many more, what about Oscar Paterson, Andy Kim, Pagliaro, Aubrey Drake Graham (Drake), Paul Anka, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Justin Bieber, Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Leonard Cohen, Michael Bublé, Gordon Lightfoot, k.d. lang, Anne Murray, Joni Mitchell, Stompin Tom Connors, Don Messer, Hank Snow and many more. Not saying your choices or wrong, they are great songs but you left out too many in the top 100 Canadian songs.
