As a Steffi Graf fan, I thought to myself, will I ever see another graceful and athletically gifted tennis player with an all-court power game now that Steffi retired 😔. Federer is the multi-generational GOAT. He climbed up by fighting against great players Djokovic never played. Pete Sampras (14 GS holder) Agassi (8 GS holder) Gustavo Kuerten (3 GS holder) Ivanisevic (1 GS holder) RICHARD KRAJICEK (1 GS holder) Michael Chang (1GS holder) ... (please help if you know other names) Federer is 6 years older than Djokovic. The difference is almost more than half generation. Federer won 18 master titles (best 3 sets) before its format was changed from best 3 sets to best 2 sets in 2008. Djokovid won only 2 master titles (best 3 sets) before 2008 after he turned pro in 2003. Just comparing the # of master titles is not a good metric b/w Federer and Djokovic. Federer with total 103 single tiles is the GOAT always no matter what people bring stats.
