Congratulations on making the journals! It’s a fantastic idea. I wish that I had one and had written down initial thoughts about many of the ME perfumes. Seeing how much they change is a part of this hobby that I especially enjoy. The only way that I think that you could improve this is for it to be spiral bound so that it can lie flat while writing. This is a fantastic idea. I was looking at my collection just yesterday and thinking how silly and frivolous and I should stop because no one needs this much perfume. Watching this video reminded me of the joy my hobby brings to my life. I love it. I love this hobby and I especially love this community. Thank you for the inspiration to continue something that I enjoy.

How long did u have did u have to macerate? My Casablanca a month and half macerating is pure chemical smell unusable joma shop said it’s fine? It’s not fine but I want it to be like sweet apple that is supposed to be

Ive given up on middle eastern perfumes because there’s always a floral or woody touch I can’t get to terms with. I’ve had my Pistachio for 2,5 months and it’s still a white floral…… unfortunately.

The two ME fragrances that I reach for Summer are Swiss Arabian Shaghaf in the clear bottle. I ordered Shaghaf Oud and was sent the wrong one, and I didn’t like it at all. Nothing like SO. They sent the right one, and I just put the clear one in my drawer. Lo and behold it morphed into a beautiful light fresh scent that I find myself reaching for a lot. The longevity is not where I want it to be but it’s not bad and I think it’s getting better. I really like it. The other Summer fragrance is Musamam White Intense. Wow! This perfume smells like something that would cost in the $400 range or above. It’s fantastic. It makes me want to try the brown one because it sounds great as well.When I hear people describe MWI it blows my mind because I don’t get tropical or coconut. I don’t get creamy either. I get a rather sharp but smooth not screechy not jagged, but a sharper, smooth incense like palo santo , cedar mixed with floral and benzoin . Truly beautiful. It smells really expensive. It smells niche. I don’t think it’s a safe blind buy unless you know that you like a strong, mature woody scent. It is definitely unisex, it would be so sexy on a man. The presentation is stunning. I struggled with throwing the beautiful case away but I can’t keep everything. I know some people think the bottles are too much and tacky but I love them. 😍 ME houses are producing such quality product with stunning packaging and for so much more budget friendly. The western designers are so expensive, the prices are going up and up. Much of the time the juice is seemingly weak and not long lasting and the bottles/packaging doesn’t match the price tag. I am not in the position to pay over $200 for a fragrance. Now, I don’t feel like I am missing out on anything. I haven’t tried Julianna’s yet but I haven’t heard anything but praise. Congratulations on the journals that is a fantastic idea.💡

I know this from a month ago but I hope you get a notification for this comment. I'm new to the perfume collecting hobby. Because of autoimmune issues I'm fully disabled and live on a limited income. I'm not able to purchase designer, luxury brands but have become obsessed with Arabian fragrances and good quality dupes like Dossier. I just purchased one of your journals! I absolutely love Mohra silky roses!! It’s such a gentle fragrance. I’ve also been loving Hayaati Florence by lattafa! This one is a candied grapefruit that smells so good. Very lady like but also sweet and holds up well in hot weather.

I think it's fantastic you've made a journal. That is a huge undertaking and will be helpful to so many. I already have a small journal that is just lined paper as I like to write a lot of my own notes and musings on where a fragrance takes me. The journals are genius. I keep mine in a spreadsheet mostly so I don't double purchase things, but I love all the detail you can put in your journals. I've been wearing the heck out of Haya Soleil by Emper. It's a recent find of mine and I absolutely love it! Also Capitol: The Dome Collection by Hamidi. I just got Turquoise Stone by Surrati and I can see myself wearing this like crazy as well. I also find myself gravitating to Mousuf Wardi by Ard Al Zaafran as well as Haya by Lattafa. My "go to" scent if I can't decide is always Soft by Al Rehab. I carry the oil in my purse and it always feels like a soft hug when I wear it.

Great Idea Maria! I log all my perfumes on a google doc alphabetically by house. This is so I can quickly check what I have when i am out and about and tempted. I love this idea of creating notes about the experience of the perfume. I was never sure how to go about it, but this is fantastic!

What a fun idea! The journals look so cute! Gonna have to get one! I just purchased Chants Tenderina. I love it so much. I live in central Texas and it’s so hot and humid here. I also have Bade Al oud Sublime. I’ve let it macerate 3 months. At first all I got was a strong woody note at dry down. I wore it to bed last night and in the morning I thought, wow…I smell good. It has changed a lot. I get the sweet apple but still the woody note. I think it will be amazing to wear in the fall here.

I use Fragrantica to track my collection, and it’s helped me quite a bit to keep me from not buying too much of one DNA. A written journal is more personal. I love Sublime. 🍎 Affection is really nice on me too. For my Bitter Peach dupe, I have Lattafa Sutoor. One of my coworkers loved it so much that she bought her own bottle after smelling it on me.
