The Christmas ones pack a lot more of a punch than the non-Christmas ones. I think the early TAC PSAs are the best ones, there's this documentary feel to them, everything feels so real, and like you said, no punches are pulled. Britain's are very hit-and-miss, but Australia knows how to get the point across effectively.

I can never understand why some prats do drink and drive. For a start, as a t-totaler I can't understand drinking in the first place. Alcohol tastes horrible, you get addicted, its a poison, you lose control of your bowels and behaviour which is why so many become incredibly violent and destructive. The real person comes to the surface, not to mention peer-pressure to drink a lot because it's Christmas. Incidentally, Christmas to me is just another worthless and pointless holiday. There is no way for me to tell you how terrifying this warped audio is. I grew up at a school for the blind, and we had tape players that had multiple speeds, which all the little kids liked to play with for some reason. It was very scary to me, and those things still freak me out. I was going to ask you if they were part of the PSA's, but then I heard one that I know very well which doesn't usually have that, so I figured it was your way of dodging the over-zealous copyright police. I must say that it makes these ads more terrifying for me, but then again I like them creepy, so good job, lol. I think this as well as backmasking would be one way they could make scary radio PSA's, although I really can't handle backmasking. I have thought of some PSA concepts that I would like to create with this technique, except then I could never listen back to them.

Four things: 1. This video is absolutely excellent as usual (you particularly excelled with the thumbnail on this) 2. I was half expecting the "One More Dave" to be not the original and feature like sleigh bells or something, cause, y'know, Christmas. Never noticed the tinsel or holly before, and I've seen it loads. 3. That NSPCC Excuses one is fucking heartbreaking, I genuinely can't watch it. It's exceptionally effective. (but it's not one of my favourites cause, again, can't watch it!) 4. My all time fave Christmas PSA is the Turkey one by the Food Standards Agency, featuring a man wrestling a Danny DeVito lookalike in a turkey costume. Presumably not making the list due to it being genuinely really funny.

These PSAs certainly show that terrible things don't stop at Christmas. When something terrible happens at Christmas, whether it's abuse or a tragic loss, it could also make the victim or family member hate the holiday season as it would be a reminder of what they went through.
