for me it is shenli which is different from all the others drama i have seen not because of the story but how it is played and filmed ; very mature, adult, soft... not cutesy, no break up, no drama... the atmosphere is quiet special.... i loved it for this aspect.

Yes The legend of shen li deserves number 1... it has been a long time since we saw a drama like this, where the leads are open about their feelings, where we have mature people playing mature roles, where there are no misunderstandings or people getting between their love, ot was a great break from the dramas clichés, the leads knew very well that what they were feeling is love they didn't beat around the bush, and let's not leave out the fights that are awesome. Another one that is watchable is amidst a snowstorm of love, a bit slow pace, but it's a refreshing drama to watch if you want a break from the misunderstadings and dramas of other dramas. The male lead is someone determined to take care of female lead, he shows her that he loves her.

"Amidst a Snowstorm of Love" is my current favourite cdrama. I have always skipped the game part in other cdrama but in this drama I couldn't resist myself from watching the game. I had the same feeling of anxiety and nervous like the characters had while playing in the drama. It was soo good for me who loves watching slow burn dramas. I would have been much more happy if the second leads had got the perfect ending as the main leads but it was kinda a open ending.❤😊🥰✨

Blossoms in Adversity It's also a drama that starts off well, with a good mystery story in the background, and ends up becoming another 'girl who saves everyone and everything' drama.

There is a mistake in your mention of cast for Angels Fall Sometime 😮. It was LIN YI ❤❤❤ and Li LANDI ❤❤❤. (Not Leo Wu and Zhao Jinmai, who were lead roles in Amidst a Snowstorm of Love: I loved these as well but Leilei and Maimai did not play in all nice c-dramas this year 😅) Did you mention in your selection the phenomenal short seriea (8 normal length episodes) " To The Wonder " ? That one has not very well known stars in it, not idols like most of the others, and unusual theme and story. It got 8.9 on Douban and even climbed over 9 at one time whereas all the other ones here are much below that rating. MDL users are a small international cimmunity compared with Douban the ratings of which represent most Chinese viewers in their country (and beyond). I mean ratings on MDL are from a few hundred at most, on Douban it is tens to hundreds of thousands.Not same scale : I think both are interesting with different sensibiliies and biases, and I also sometimes look at ImDB and Rotten Tomatoes when there are ratings and opinions from International or US perspective there...😅 You also forgot cast for Sword and Fairy 4 - it was Ju Jingyi and Chen Zheyuan in a drama that was gathering dust on shelves since it was filmed before Hidden Love the success of which which also deagged down from shelf The Princess and the Werewolf aired in the wake of HL last year. Now there are only 2 dramas remaining shelved for Chen Zheyuan, a slightly BL story that looks interesting with Tan Jianci as lead, and a costume one which needed some refilming because of the jailing of Kris Wu for his drugging and rape orgies that came to light. All Kris Wu projects were canceled after that. So The Golden Hairpin is a star crossed drama that depends on goodwill of cast to make time for re shoots. Yang Zi finished hers early in 2024 since she liked the script from start. I an nor sure all the others and replacenent have.

Admits a snowstorm of love is the worst drama i have seen😒🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️sooo much kissing that it became frustrating,if your gonna do it do it properly so much kiss scenes was soo frustrating to watch.

The lead actor in the Legend of Shenli is the same actor in the drama " My Bargain Queen". Sorry to say that he doesn't possess any charisma on the screen. He looks flat and unappealing.
