The question of flight reservations makes no sense. The embassy can’t possibly expect an individual to buy an airline ticket (round trip) without knowing if that person can even go. A “Reservation” seems rather silly since ANYONE can reserve a flight. The problem with this (as I recall) is that the airline website will only hold this reservation for a few days. Your visa application might last weeks or months!

I used a Fully Paid Flight ticket and hotel reservation as the documents along with other required documents to get the visa. I couldn't even get a ticket reservation. The only available option was to actually buy the ticket, it's a big risk having to loose all that money should they deny you a visa. The ticket part need to be reviewed.

I had been gone to France, Italy, UK and Germany . I had never book any hotels in advance. I find cheap accommodation like hostels and under $ 50 rooms. I change itneries depending upon situations. Once you buy the tickets and book the hotels, they charge from your credit card. Once you paid everywhere and these idiots didn’t give you the so called $ 8.00 visa. Then you are really screwed. Europe is already screwed up and they are heavily depends on tourism. Their economy will have drastic changes in their GDP. I don’t think it will last long.
