Absolutely wrong about Nova's helmet. The Nova Force was never connected to the helmets until Sam Alexander. It was imparted into the bodies of the Nova Corp members.

That was because the mutant he was around has the ability to strip mutants of their powers if you get close to him. So that's why his powers didn't work in that white room..
