Great America is so underrated. They have such a wide variety of coasters that appeal to everyone. You like huge, scary rides? There's Goliath along with Raging Bull. You like small rides? There's the Whizzer and the Little Dipper. And if you're kind of in between, there's the Viper, the Demon, and the American Eagle. One of my favorite parks to visit.

I live in LA so I mainly go to Magic Mountain, I was there this week and I'm going again for grad night. Yes, they are not many family rides, but may I remind you that we also have Disney land, knots berry farm, and universal studios Hollywood, all of which are great parks for families. Because of this, magic Mountain focuses more on thrill bc there are so many family parks to go to all within and hour and a half away! Magic Mountain has an amazing line up, and due to all of the other family parks, I'm glad they don't have many family rides :)

I don't really think SFMM should put a lot of focus on family rides because it's the THRILL capitol of the world and Disneyland is fairly close to it, just an hour or so away I think, if you really want family rides. Just my opinion.

SFMM is not just for roller coaster lovers, it's also for DC fans, a lot of thrills in the park are from DC. Riddlers Revenge, Batman, Super Man one of the highest coasters in the world. Drop of doom, Green lantern.

Six Flags Great Escape deserves more love. It’s currently the only six flags park I’ve been too (IKR). All the coasters are Vekoma’s except for the comet and the small one made for kids. Steamin Demon sucks. But the Comet is amazing, Alpine Bobsled is one of the best alpine coasters in the world, Flashback (Vekoma Boomerang) is rough but much taller then most boomerangs. The Canyon blaster is a great family coaster and Freddie’s mine train (the kiddie coaster) has the same model of the cocoa cruiser in Hershey Park. They also have one of those only looping rides that Taylor doesn’t believe is a coaster. And they’re drop/launch tower Sasquatch is 200 ft tall and and gives you a great view of the Adirondack Mountains and the park.

Regarding your last sentence, remember this: Enthusiasts/Thrill Seekers come to the park usually by themselves or with a small group. But families have at least 3-5 members, so they have to pay more money to enter the park. So family rides do matter.

Matthew Cassidy Hersheypark has 57 family-based attractions. Dutch Wonderland has 35 attractions total. So that's pretty much supporting my argument. Either way, parks earn lots of money when families buy 4 tickets versus an enthusiast who buys one ticket for them self.

Well if you look the Disney Parks (the most visited theme parks in the world) they make so much money with lots of family rides and very little thrill rides. SFMM needs to start to look at families as well as keeping their amazing lineup of coasters. After that then SFMM is truly a huge competitor against Cedar Point because CP has way more family rides than SFMM but still has what I consider the best coaster lineup in the world. Take a look at these stats between CP and SFMM as of Feb 2015... CEDAR POINT Total Rides: 72 Roller Coasters: 16 Thrilling Flat Rides: 4 Other Flat Rides: 49 Water Rides: 3 SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN Total Rides: 44 Roller Coasters: 19 Thrilling Flat Rides: 1 Other Flat Rides: 21 Water Rides: 3 Cedar Point is a much more well-rounded park with lots of stuff to do which is good for a whole family to go to (both thrillseekers and "thrillseekers in training") while SFMM is a park mainly for the thrillseekers.

Six flags great adventure has been my amusement park since I was little because of their diverse rides! There is so much to do for all ages and has such a charm to it. It doesn't give you the overwhelming feeling that most other parks do with the crowds, walking up hills, not finding food for ages. It has everything you could ever need while also being friendly and stress free. I love it so much and have loved it since the first time I ever went.

Not really coasterfan RR is better than green lantern and tatsu is better than superman ultimate flight. I know SFGA has some good coasters like nitro and el toro, sfmm has TC X2 goliath and full throttle. Also SFMM has more rollercoasters like apocalypse and green lantern bizarro might be better themed than scream but the ride is the same just like batman the ride. And if you are a coasterfan, you dont care about the family rides.

Ive only been to two of these parks, St. Louis and Over Georgia. Over Georgia was fantastic and so was St. Louis. (Ive been to St. Louis about 5 times.) I honestly think St. Louis is a little underrated. They have some of the best wooden roller coasters ever, better than any of the ones at over georgia. and have you been on Mr. Freeze reverse blast? That ride was amazing.

You are entitled to your opinion, but Discovery Kingdom does not have a single airtime coaster. You could argue about Iron Rattler having some airtime, but it is still more about it's inversion. I do not like the way part of IR actually feels slow. There is no argument that SFFT has no airtime coaster. Airtime is the first thing I like to look at. I love a good well rounded ride like Leviathan. I think every park should have a similar ride. Very fast, has some good airtime, has a big drop, and is a long ride.

* for parks I haven't been to 1.SFMM park is definitely improving and their ride collection is incredible by far better than any other Six Flags 2.SFGAM good rides but nice atmosphere as well 3.SFGADV good rides not as good as everyone says severely lacking charm only really has El Toro and Kingda Ka 4.SFFT what they have is great yes its a smaller park but they experience you have is wonderful best staff at any Six Flags 5.SFOG a lot good nothing out of this world nothing bad except for mediocre operations 6.SFOT Park used to be top 3 but this park is going straight downhill this year was just awful operations plain out sucked I was unable to ride Titan NTG or Mr. Freeze anywhere near the back row which is downright unacceptable and then when I ask about it no one can even give me answer which again is complete bull. 7.SFNE this park might have the 1 2 punch in Bizarro and Wicked Cyclone but the rest of the park including operation is just meh 8.SFDK* the 150ft height limit sucks but the marine life makes up for it 9.SFM* Nothing to say about this park 10.SFA* This park really has nothing special but everyone just says it sucks when its getting a lot better 11.SFSTL When i went to this park 3 years ago nothing impressed me and their no clones in Mr. Freeze and Batman felt like they were tamed down compared to the others in the Chain. 12.SF La Ronde nothing to say 13.Great Escape kinda obvious And to everyone complaining about SFMM lack of family rides there is a reason behind it look at their competition in Disney Knotts Universal and Sea World they cant compete in the family attractions even if they tried so instead of trying to appeal to market that they cant they go all out in the high thrills parks. Having friends and family who've worked in the theme park industry if SFMM didn't appeal to the high thrill market there probably would be no SFMM at all right now as they would have gone bankrupt over 20 years ago.

La Ronde is honestly better than Six Flags America. Six Flags Mexico is also kind of underrated in my opinion. New England is better than Over Georgia, even though I'm going to SFOG this summer, which is super fun. Fiesta Texas isn't as great as some of the other parks in the list. I live less than 30 minutes away from Great America, and even though during the summers I visit bi-weekly with my season pass, the park never gets boring. I’m not biased enough to think that it’s the “best park” but it’s definitely one of the really cool parks around. I hope to visit some other parks soon, SF St Louis is the second closest which is 7 hours away from me. Nice video too! Theme parks are really awesome and I like watching these videos.

Great escape has so much potential. If they got some new rollercoasters or intense thrill rides, this would be an outstanding park. It’s clean, the food is delicious, the park itself has decent theming scattered here and there, their kiddie sections is great, they already have a great water park and thrill ride line up, and it seems like they have a decent amount of space that they could work with in the future. I hope they get a new ride that enthusiasts would care about soon!

Six flags St Louis is underated. They have the original mr freeze reverse blast and one of the three original batman the rides. Along with The Boss, American Thunder, And Screaming Eagle. I would swap it with number nine without a doubt

I grew up going to Great America every year with my family! It's an amazing park with such a large coster variety. Like if you're not too huge on coasters there's the Fiddlers Fling or The Little Dipper or honestly V2 isn't even that scary! it's amazing!

Six flags over Texas is definitely a top 2. Not only is it iconic and the first ever six flags it is just a family fun typa of place. I live in arlington so this might seem biased but I just feel it is better in everyway, from the rides to the workers and people that come.

SFMM doesn't need any flat rides, we have Disneyland and Knott's for that. SFMM is made specifically for roller coasters.

Personally I think SFMM is WAY overrated. They have the most amount of coasters in any park but its not the greatest lineup. They have a strata coaster (Superman) but that just goes straight up and then back. They have a hypercoaster (Goliath) but its not like a B&M. Its dosent have the feel of a B&M. And they have 3 big looping coasters (Riddlers Revenge, Scream and Full throttle) but one is a standup, one is a rough floorless and the other one has cool elements but is short. And they have a terrible family lineup. Now don't get me wrong its a great park but its very overrated. One thing is that I think the new Twisted Colossus is going to be boss! But this park is overrated. Cedar Point is 10 times better. I might have errors in this but idk.

IMO Six Flags Magic Mtn. Vs. Cedar Point its Quality Vs. Quanity - Cedar Point has Quality - TTD, MF, Magnum (On the rough side), Maverick, Gatekeeper, Raptor, Rougarou, & Many GOOD Flat Rides. EDIT: Wicked Twister & Gemini. - Magic Mtn. - Good roller coasters but No DECENT flat Rides.
