Handsom siblings is probably the next series I'll try after I've now rewatched word of honor lol. I hope it's good. Like, I don't need romance. But series that have no focus on relationship (siblings, friends, lover whatever (doesn't matter)) does sit as well with me usually, cause the plot usually gets too thin at that point. I haven't seen much info about handsome siblings, but I hope it lives up to my expectations :)

I watched many of these dramas and I would say Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre is the best. I thought Word of Honor at first was the best but after watching Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre, my stance changed. Yukee, the female lead was outstanding and she won many awards in this drama including the Best Actress.

The long Ballad is the best out of these so deserves the number 1 spot. Nirvana in Fire too but as he states, it's definitely not for everyone. The long Ballad is one of the most gripping stories and I would compare it to the Legend of Fuyao

Watching Love and Redemption now, pretty good, but doesn't quite hold up to Eternal Love (three lives, three worlds ten miles peach blossoms) or Ashes of Love. Can't wait for the new Return of the Condor Heroes after the 2014 disappointment that came nowhere close to the 2006 masterpiece. I've seen well over 30 Wuxia dramas but there are some on this list that I didn't know about, thanks. But yes, anyone getting into Chinese martial arts dramas has to check out the Condor Trilogy, it's what opens the doors, but then again it's a tough call as those are tough to beat in quality of storytelling and characters. Out of all the remakes, I'll take the 2008 Legend of the Condor Heroes with Hu Ge and 2006 Return of the Condor Heroes, but Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre the last 3 are all very good.

@@ThiannaD Everyone has its own way of thinking and I respect everyone's opinion however I don't like the untamed because it isn't based on one solid subject/ plot but it has everything mix in it i.e. 25% bromance, 25% romance, 25% fantasy and 25% you can say a type of historical and I don't like dramas that have everything mix in it. and one more thing now a days people praise Xiao Zhan as the most handsome and manly boy hahahah i don't know whats is the problem with people's choice what is there manly in Xiao Zhan he looks completely like a baby not a man and has everything balanced in his face. just like a drama that must have one solid subject is a good drama rather having everything mixed or balanced in it, same is the case with a human face i am just talking above facial looks a persons who has one or two things extremely attractive or beautiful especially eyes and the way he smiles, looks much more beautiful then a person who has everything balanced in his face and this philosophy i neither like the untamed nor i consider xiao zhan as the handsome or beautiful man just like today's people who have ranked him as the most handsome, beautiful and manly in aisa (if i have anything wrong with my english accept my apology for that as it is not my M.tongue)

My favorite ancient history c-dramas of ALL TIME are: The Long Ballad (Amazing acting, Touching plot, Romance, second leads are cute, you wont want to stop) Dilireba and Wulei Ashes of Love (Will make you cry, amazing acting, cute, romance, second leads are cute, you will stay up the whole night and finish it in one go) Denlun and Yangzi Romance of the Tiger and the Rose (ADORABLE, amazing chemistry, hilarious, Romance, will make you forget all your other work) Zhao lusi and Ding yuxi Blue Whisper (Will make you cry, sweet, great plot development, amazing CGI, Romance, you WILL never get over this drama, you WILL re-watch it for the rest of your life) Ren Jialun and Dilireba Nirvana in Fire (I remember my mother watching this, AMAZING, very smart, drama that will keep you at the edge of your seat at all times) Hu Ge, Wang Kai, and Liu Tao I really recommend watching these!

I will be certainly watching the condor hero's trilogy, I had no idea the watch order as they can all be found on youtube. I had no idea the watch order. And if you are to believed dragon-slaying sabre is part of the trilogy I had no idea till this very second. So damn right I'm watching this
