Great video and a great list, I have played the 3ds since launch and still play it alongside the Switch, as you have rightfully pointed out there’s just so many great games to play. My top 5 would be at the moment looks like: 5. Ever Oasis 4. Dragon Ball Fusions 3. Zelda Link Between Worlds 2. Pokemon ORAS 1. Fire Emblem Awakening I still have a lot of other great games to play so this is subject to change 😂

@@PixelStun Agreed but my issue is I have a snes mini modded with 1600 games all the classics from snes to megadrive, GameCube with a ton of AAA and 3ds with a ton of AAA games bit of a enjoyable nightmare 😅

Funny I stopped at the water temple a few years ago on my GameCube and not gone back to it since lol never bought maj mask as don’t like to be rushed when I play.

That's great. Definitely recommend the 3ds Remakes then, they 'fix' the water temple, and make it easier in MM. (BUT to be fair, you might just wanna wait for any upcoming Zelda 35th Anniversary ports this year.)

so @pixelStune ^^ Great top, some of these games are really great !!! Though in my opinion kid icarus uprising deserve to be at least top 5, its one of the greatest 3ds in my opinion. Also personally i disliked supermario3D land. I would also put donkeykong country return in my top 15.

Never understood why people have Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire above Ultra Sun/Moon, maybe because Pokemon Ruby GBA nostalgia?

For me, it's definitely nostalgia. RSE are the first Pokémon games I played. And I ended up enjoying 6th gen mechanics more than 7tg gens. (E.g Mega Evolutions > z powers, I don't like sos wild pokémon) In the end, I had far more fun playing ORAS than SM.

Nice List. I know how it is, to only show Games that you are actually played. :) Can i hit you with some Games, you also may enjoy? -Ever Oasis -Fantasy Life -Kirby Planet Robobot -Kirby Triple Deluxe And if it comes to 3D use: Pilotwings Resort. This might be not the typical Game everyone played, but with 3D on, it actually helps you playing the Game better (flying through rings with 3D helps you seeing how far away they are) But overall: the 3DS has a stupid amount of good Games. I still find good games today. Last find, was "Dillon's Dead Head Breakers". It sold poorly but it's not a bad Game. Maybe it will stay on hidden Gem lists, in the future (same for Ever Oasis)

I suppose you didn't play Dragon Quest VII, which in my opinion is waaay better than VIII, and also has both a job system and time travel, that you apparently really like, so I really recommend it!

Just played 7 for about 50 hours got the carpet but lost interest because the story just seemed like it was all short stories and didn't have the silly humour from 8.

Alright this comment is going to praise the list (in summary for those who dont have time lol) It was refreshing to see games like Smash bros, Animal crossing, and mario kart excluded since they really are remastered better on the switch. DKC returns and Star Fox 64 3D are great, but I kinda question if theyve been worthy to take a spot in top 3DS games. Theyre just about as good on their original console. Nonetheless, props to sticking with OoT and MM!! Those were amazing on 3DS and I feel like people downgrade them for the same reason as DKC/Star fox, but they shouldnt. 3DS is wayyy better Love the Layton and Phoenix Wright inclusion, barely anyone includes those and they felt like staples for the original DS. Curious for your thoughts on Spirit of Justice and the Layton PW crossover game. Radiant Historia is another game I see no one mentioning and it looks amazing. I happened to come across a random jrpg DS vid last year, thought it looked cool, then realized it was remastered for the 3DS. Later found it out its actually reviewed very well, a hidden gem, and now I really want to play it. But I cant find it anywhere... all I can find are Japan only versions for $80 :( For the rest of the selection, I agreed with em! Some other good ones out there, sure, but maybe arent quite as 'must-play' in 2021. Maybe Fire Emblem Valentia? I havent got it yet. Lol I started with Birthright disappointingly, gameplay was really fun but bad story, then got to Awakening, much better. I still dont prefer the stress of being the MatchMaker, so I feel like Valentia might actually be the best...but yet to play. Anyway, theres my long post. --Random internet guy who loved your list

Wow. Thanks a lot for this detailed comment. PWSOJ - It's good. I enjoyed the higher stakes regarding the defense system in Khura'in. (but I preferred DD over SOJ in terms of 3DS AA games) Layton vs Phoenix - Generally, I like the first 2/3 of the game a lot, the last 1/3 felt very convoluted (lol). I also enjoyed the mass inquisition mechanic where you question witness together. Which is why I can't wait to see DGS get localised and released. (this year? 🤞) Radiant historia - Yep. Was looking for the physical game, but couldn't find it anymore. Ended up getting it digital. (If you want to see my opinion on the game, it's up on my channel) FE Echoes- has been in my backlog for so long now. I want to play it, but really no time tho. FE BIRTHRIGHT- lol, I stopped playing closed to the end. I think I left with 3-5 more chapters... Thanks for the detailed comment again!! (I am working on NDS retrospective, and top 10 Ds games, will probably drop it in March - April)

Yeah the NDS is an interesting retrospective with the Switch dabbling in some of the games. Alot of games were groundbreaking at the time like the NES, but dont hold up in 2021. Always nice to see which ones are worth revisiting again! Cool channel man!

Most of the games on your list are just not for me....I keep trying to get into the Professor Layton and Ace Attorney games but I just lose interest. Virtue's Last Reward and FE Awakening - tried getting into at least one game from both of these series and hated them. For me the best games are Pokemon x/y and O Ruby and A Sapphire, along with Animal Crossing NL. I also liked Heroes of Ruin and Yokai Watch. And if you don't mind non English games - Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 is great - you can play with English patch on Homebrew 3ds.
