The human race is the biggest construction project ever in existence. Every time we build it they tear it down.

The China stadium isn't that one! I thought the Lusail Iconic Stadium started out with the lotus flower, switched to the diamond-y one, and finally settled with the bowl design.

If you're going to mention the 500km/hr MAGLEV in Japan, you also need to mention the Guangzhou-Beijing MAGLEV that will do the 2100km distance at speeds up to 600+km/hr to ne complete by 2029.

The Libyan water pipes were bombed and destroyed by Nato nothing to do with the civil war.. British RAF and the Italian air force did the original raids the Italian planes came back few months later and bombed the factory that built the pipes to stop the Libyan repairing it. The project was originally built by an Italian company.

It's difficult to compete with United States. America is simply too vast. Plenty of land for Mega projects.

You do realise that, apart from the odd few thousand sq.km the USA & China are APPROXIMATELY the same size? From all I've heard the first job is to fix existing infrastructure. China 9,706,961sq.km United States 9,372,610sq.km

It's interesting to watch this construction, apparently there are a lot of people (nations) in this world of ours that seem to be 'exempt' from climate changing! They stampede ahead with heavy construction, regardless of impact, almost as if they thumb their noses at 1000 ppm CO2, 4 degrees C, could care less, water shortages, not here, ecosystems - we don't have them? I will not pay attention to climate change alarms until there is a ' world crisis', it will take a climate catastrophe of global proportions to get people of all nations on board.
