A "Flying Boat" is an airplane with a hull that floats. A conventional plane with separate floats under the wings is not a "flying Boat" but a seaplane.

Amphibious aircraft come in the form of flying boats like these are in the video, (Ahem trump tard,) as well as planes on pontoons or floats, aka float planes. I wouldn't expect much more considering your pride.
