Lancôme certainly knows how to do a beautiful, mass appealing rose. I agree with every one you mentioned. I’ve also been enjoying the La Vie Est Belle Rose Extraordinaire. It was a great LVEB option for the warmer weather. From the Givenchy Irresistible line, I really enjoy the original Irresistible and the EDT Fraiche. Since we seem to have similar taste in fragrances, I’m definitely going to get my nose on the Very Floral version. Aerin also makes some beautiful, realistic rose fragrances. Unfortunately the performance is severely lacking, at least on my skin.

I’m OBSESSED with your hair! I’m letting my grey come in and can only hope mine is half as beautiful as yours. Agree with your thoughts in the intro- I don’t get “mature” from rose. Rather, it’s just uber fem to my nose. On the contrary white florals are difficult for me, as those read mature to me. Hi Maria, I’m not usually a big fan of rose, but I recently layered my Idôle with Bois de Vanille by Le Bois (which I got on your recommendation), and the result was magical. The combination transformed the rose into something softer and more alluring, with the warmth of the vanilla. It’s a beautiful blend that surprised me and has quickly become one of my favourite layering combos. Have a wonderful day!!!

Didn’t know I loved rose so much until I realized I own at least 10 or more rose forward scents. My SOTD is Narciso Rodriguez Rouge (in the red cube bottle). It’s a sexy, comforting powdery rose, iris and berry scent. I think it’s being phased out by the company, but I think it’s an exceptional and unique take on rose from the designer offerings. Also, big love for Dior Rose N’ Roses. Santal Royal sounds amazing!

Thanks for the video! BTW L’Extase smells just like Baroque Satin Oud, which is said to dupe Oud Satin Mood. Both L’Extase and OSM are MFK creations, so it makes perfect sense to me (like the La Belle & Teriaq Quentin Bisch connection). So if anyone is sad at not being able to get their hands on L’Extase (and maybe paying over $70 like me 😭), just get BSO for like $30?? Ugh! EDIT changed “Barrakat” to “Baroque,” always confuse those.

I am fully obsessed with rose fragrances. There's so much variety when it comes to rose perfumes and I cannot get enough of them. Dries Van Noten Raving Rose and Soie Malaquis, Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose, Creed's Carmina, Lancome's Mille et Une Rose, Paul Smith Rose, Stella by Stella McCartney, and Dom Rosa Millesime.....they're all so incredible!! I'm lucky to own them all. And I cherish each and every one. I own many, many more rose fragrances but these ones came to my mind (and are top tier).

That longer hair is so so pretty on you. 💖 I'm still working my way into rose scents but my favorite so far is still Femme Individuelle by Mont Blanc, a watery, spicy rose that is very light and fresh. It's discontinued but still findable. This summer I was on the hunt for salty roses, and the one I like the most so far is Rose America from Une Nuit Nomade (not designer). I do still need to try Maison Crivelli's Rose Saltifolia.

I'm not a rose fan so I always need some sweet, "cheating" mix for a rose perfume to appeal to me. My favorite perfume is Elie Saab Le Parfum Royal, not because of the rose but because of candies orange. I totally agree that this is polarizing and the patchouli is strong with this one, which isn't a problem to me. I like the scents of Idole original, Givench Irresistible original and Issey Miyake Rose & Rose. And I think that Givenchy creates rose perfumes that smell great to my nose without needing to be sweet. Is your La Nuit Trésor the original formulation? Because the one I smelled in the mall recently smelled like oud and strawberries and little of chocolate or liquor. That I did not like.

I love rose..the Chance eau Tendre edp has rose in it and you can smell it. I got the edt since I didn't need another light rose one,but I do really like both of them. Red Roses from Jo Malone is a true rose. Rosa Pop from Guerlain is fun and easy to wear. Chloe edp is a really nice one as well..that I can only wear it when it's cooler

have you tried the latest La Nuit Tresor , the INTENSE one (almost black bottle with reish purply ruby black glass). It is the only NUIT I like, apart from it I only like the NUDE version. It reminds me of discontinued La Follie , so densly fruity but dark at the same time :)

I love rose but I don’t like rose fragrances because I’m picky with notes. The only rose fragrance I have really liked are Miss Dior 2021, Peut-Être Lancôme, Donna Karen Liquid Cashmere Blush. Because it’s you, I loved it when I first got it until the neroli became too much for me and it just wasn’t my style.

Coach Wild Bloom (this one is so underrated), Tom Ford Rose Prick, Banana Republic Peony & Peppercorn, Nina Ricci Rose Extase, YSL Mon Paris Intensement (that one got me so many compliments). I just love rose and have some niche favorites too!!! Agree love Idole profile, love L’Extase and Irresistible has been on my radar for awhile!

Lancome has so many rose centric fragrances now. The idoles, the lvebs, and now eleven new pricey absolu parfums. I find it overwhelming. Whoever is their marketing guru is messing up big time.

Hi Maria! Because It's You used to be my signature scent about 6 yrs ago but I still love it and I agree very underrated. Honestly I never realized it had rose lol. I just saw a different KZbin reviewer today who also reviewed her fav rose scents and I commented that I used to be a rose hater or at least I thought I was lol. I have always loved fragrances since I can remember. I like all types of perfumes but I always said I never liked rose and I think it's because I associated it with a grandma smell. I now realize I just never really focused on notes just how the scent made me feel and how it smelled. It wasn't until Covid that I started watching KZbinrs and their reviews and that's when I had the 'ahhhh' moment. I now realize I had several rose scent but just didn't know it was a rose scent because it wasn't vintage or grandma smelling. Great line up Maria. ❤
