Thanks! I'm getting ready to move my elderly neighbor to a studio apartment at assisted living. He's an artist so he has his art that he wants to take, (and easel and art supplies) and I just texted him the idea and photo of the vertical photos/art. And he loved it. We've been thinking of a murphy bed, so we like that idea. He has about 315 square feet ! So I needed this video. lol He's got a good eye for design, he decorated his one bedroom apartment pretty well. This should be fun.

Thanks for the great ideas. My husband and I purchased a 2-bedroom house that is just over 1600 square feet. The house is well-built and the property is beautiful, but we want affordable ways to add more space. We are adding a Murphy bed this spring to our walk-in basement family room to ensure that we have enough space for when our married daughter and our 3 grandchildren visit. We also have a small shed on the property that we will be making into another 3rd bedroom, remodeling it with a tiny bathroom. Your ideas, as usual are very helpful and, in our case, timely. Thanks again for your hard work!

At last, something real that we can incorporate in a condo of 1,200 foot square. Most of the population does not own a big house like your family. This is more practical for most of the population. I love your videos and you have real good taste! From Quebec, Canada. ❤❤❤

In my cottage, I’m in the process of painting my tiny bathroom. Now, I have a better idea for the paint scheme. I’m color drenching it in Behr’s Le Luxe. I’ve done it partially, but I didn’t finish and I was pondering where to stop, or how much. All of it. Although, I’m still questioning whether or not to do the ceiling, or just leave it white? 🤷🏻♀️ It’s a dark color, and I’m afraid to make it too cavernous. But I also think it would look really good all one color.
@firestick49919 ай бұрын
It only has one small window in the shower stall/tub area, so not a lot of natural light. Everything else in the cottage except for the kitchen, is dark themed. Antique Tin in the main spaces, Black Sapphire and Tanzanite in the bedroom next door, and all the ceilings are painted in the darker colors. Because of this, I’m leaning towards doing the ceiling. But I’m honestly torn on this. I’m doing the painting myself and it’s a lot of work. However, I feel it will look bigger, even if it’s darker overall, if I do it. The fixtures and tub surround are all white, too. So, there’s going to be some contrast. I can’t get away from that. In your example of the pink room, the ceiling was done and the furniture stood out nicely against the color.

I’d do a light tint on ceiling (same color family) if you don’t want crisp white.

I was surprised that a round table makes more space. I'm taking the leaf out of my dining room table to make it round. Should the rug be round or would a rectangle rug work? Thanks for all your amazing tips ❤
@ashleychilders9 ай бұрын
I have a rectangle rug under a round table and it works totally fine, especially if it fits the overall shape/dimensions of the space best!
@robbinkampa56919 ай бұрын
@@ashleychilders thank you for answering my question so quickly. When we have guests than the table with a leaf is rectangular.

I feel like you chose pictures of tall ceilings and extra long windows. Each picture has architectural features or extra molding or differently shaped windows. You should have used the average small home with some of your tips so we could actually see what you mean on "normal" homes.
@cd26592 ай бұрын
@mementomori1022 nope, not true. If you can't visualize it because there aren't "normal" examples, why make the video? Truth is, a large majority of people live in cookie cutter 8 ft ceiling, cheap looking window homes and apartments. Why wouldn't you use that as examples?
@cd2659Ай бұрын
@mementomori1022 lol, it's gonna be OK. Deep breath in, deep breath out. Deep breath in, deep breath out. You got this!
