Metallica adopted Eb tuning for live shows after 1994 because James couldnt risk his vocal chords. But still I love Eb tuning for emotional parts and harmonies. Almost every other old band plays below standard tuning in live shows, Megadeth play their songs in D standard nowadays

I use Line 6 Sonic Port Guitar Interface for mobile devices and the recommended app (MobilePOD). I suggest you to add a compressor pedal in your pedalboard. For the equalizer settings -> low gain, high treble

Strive to play in the original tempo when recording using a metronome or with the song playing in a headphones. At leaast for me is very annoying when the tempo is off as a whole or for a certain part. Cheers!
