I read that Vicks would remove hard water stains, since I had used many products intended for getting rid of the hard water stains with little success, I decided to try it. I spread it on the shower floor and left it for 20 minutes. I then wiped down the shower floor and could not believe it, the stains were completely gone. Just be careful to rinse well so that you do not slip and fall when using your shower.

I use it everyday and have been for 30+ years. Especially on my feet, i slather it liberally on my whole foot and ankle and on my toenails I shove it into them and much as I can. This is done after my shower mostly at night before bed and I put on my socks for the next day. About the only time I don’t have my socks on is when I shower because like I said I sleep in them and wear them the next day. I’m 73 and my feet are smooth with no cracks or issues at all. I had a younger brother that seldom wore socks and almost always wore leather sandals, in his thirties his heels had huge cracks in them. He died from cancer at 51.

I have always used Vick’s or its less expensive cousin Mentholadum for ear aches, headaches, sore aching feet, and chest colds. For headaches, I rub it on both temples, the spot on my forehead right above my nose, and at the base of my skull right where the “neck bone’s connected to the head bone.” It soothes. The headache and allows me to sleep at night.

It was the only thing that got rid of my toenail fungus. I only had it on one toe and nothing worked until I tried the Vics. I rubbed it on the nail in the morning and before bed. I have always put about half a teaspoon in a large heatproof bowl with boiling water then breathed over the bowl with a towel over both my head & the bowl.. Bit uncomfortable at first when the steam hits but stay there as long as you can (pop out for air & go back if absolutely need to). This has cleared many a chest/sinus/flu infection for the whole family for decades. Be patient & do it twice a day for a few days. Be *very careful of the boiling water of course, especially with children.. Could add a bit of cold to it if worried but its the steam that does the trick.

Ok, here is a 16th surprising use of Vicks Vaporub that most people do not know about. As a police officer, I, Homicide Squads and many other patrolmen carried a small jar of it in our briefcases in case we were investigating certain crime scenes. It masked horrible odors if we put a small dab under each nostril. Prior to my years in law enforcement, officers back before the fifties used to carry a cigar instead but that practice ended when they realized that cigar ashes could mess up crime scene evidence.

Just want to share my experience which is not meant to disparage anyone’s opinion. Suffered with earaches, sore throat and tonsillitis for years as a child. As a result my tonsils and ear drum were damaged. Later in life went to ENT doctor to remove tonsils. Asked me how I cleaned my ears. Said as a kid, with a bobby pin and Q-tips. Firstly, said my tonsils had rotted somewhat and had scar tissue in my ears. Then his voice went up a couple of octaves and said sternly, you dont put a damn thing in your ear. As for wax let it work its way to the end of the ear canal and clean.

The slightest hint of a stuffy nose, sore throat and Vicks will knock it out! If you're really sick, put it on the bottom of your feet then socks before you go to bed. Pork is the worst meat anyone should eat who have a sensitive stomach. My Uncle in the Fire brigade,said , which put me off ever eating Pork or Bacon, that when people get caught up in a fire is the same smell as human flesh !. He never ate pigs since then, would rather rescue them than eat them. Mum could never cook us any bacon if she knew Uncle Robby coming around, a couple of times he arrived without her knowing, and, even with our Front Door opened ,he would vomit into our Flower beds with tears of emotion falling from his eyes. @@rachelcharles53 Every morning after bath and every night before going to bed ,take a little Vicks vaporub and rub gently on the stretch marks,followed by very gentle massage...Doing this regularly starts to fade away stretch marks...you can try putting it on some stretch marks only and leaving the rest of them as is...in this way you will be able to notice the difference in the ones on which you apply vicks vaporub... when you are convinced you can try on all of the marks..
