Oh yeah, about the Gizmondo entry, I have something to add. See, the console wasn't made with any plastic underneath the faceplate...so what you were holding was essentially a slab of rubber that would cook itself from the inside-out over time...this is going exactly where you think it's going. The Gizmondo would, if you played for long enough, start MELTING IN YOUR HANDS! I...AM...NOT...KIDDING! If nothing else would've made the console fail, this DEFINITELY would've been the final nail in the coffin. O.o

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to his ranking (his spastic yelling doesn't help). I have two of the systems on this list, the NUON and the Jaguar, and by his ranking the NUON is better. Now the Jaguar might not be a hidden gem, but it got something like 60 official games and some of them were actually good. Of NUON's handful of games, the most impressive one got recalled because of a defect in the disc so that left a mediocre Mario Kart clone as it's best game. So I don't see how the Jaguar rates worse than NUON (or Virtual Boy).

The number 1 entry honestly had me yelling, "What the FUCK??!!!" over and over again. How cruel can someone be to charge someone nearly 1,000 dollars for one console and nearly as much for all the modules and games?! I know that today we have these asshole scalpers that charge you nearly 2,000 dollars for a PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but at least those consoles actually work. Plus, this was in the 90s which would make the prices EVEN HIGHER!!!! Seriously, screw whoever thought that console and all of it's shitty modules was even remotely a good idea.

well, the only thing good about LaserActive is it's video quality for the console modules. It looked way better than the based console. and the bad thing about it is that it aged like milk cuz it only looked good for the time. Nowadays, why would you wanna spend that money on the console for better video quality when emulator has already achieved that long time ago?

I took plenty of finance & banking classes & inflation seems much more complicated than a simple formula as there are times of rapid & slow increase some places being immune to it as well as other factors. #1 was absurdly overpriced even if inflation were completely nonexistent. I'm curious what you think of GameCube's story I got it because it was affordable at only $199 back then which is probably $300 now & the game selection was great. Now people are paying 4-5x normal prices because they missed out on what may as well have been the Vangogh of Game Consoles.

As someone who plays games via RetroAchievements nowadays, I learned that Virtual Boy emulation allows for color change, meaning you don't have to strain your eyes playing them~. I also found some of the games to be pretty fun to unwind with, such as Panic Bomber, Mario's Clash (which I prefer over OG Mario Bros), and Virtual Boy Wario Land~.

As another strike against the Gizmondo, one must take into account the fact that the thing was made from that cheap rubber-plastic stuff, which gets more malleable over time. Basically, unless one has managed to take extremely great care of their Gizmondo over the past 19 years, here’s something to keep in mind: it’s slowly melting. I was hoping you’d tear into terrible, lackluster hardware one day! Glad to see the wait was more than worth it!

The key pad was rarely helpful but the controller was fine otherwise. I was in college when I got my Jag, so my friends played it a lot, and I don't once remember hearing anyone say, "Oh, this controller is just too big, I can't handle it's girth!"

Yeah, Stadia was officially shut down a bit earlier this year. Surprisingly, Google is giving full refunds for consoles and the games. That's unheard of these days. (Although they didnt mention the monthly fee money though...)

Funny Story. I actually own a Virtual Boy and brought it with me to EverFree NW 2017. Josh, myself, and a few others were doing an escape room (Remember how Difficult that thing was Josh)? I told Josh, I got something you probably been wanting to try. I reached into my bag and pulled out my Virtual Boy and half the games. And he Lost it. He was gonna finally try this system. I took footage of him playing it and his verdict was as what he said in this video. He can see Why it failed. But it's really not THAT bad.

The Saturn and Dreamcast weren’t exactly bad consoles, but just flopped hard for one reason or another. The Saturn due to Sega *horribly* botching its launch, and the Dreamcast because it just couldn’t compete with the PS2 and didn’t have all that great marketing outside of Japan.

The Saturn was pretty hard to program for, so much so that third parties had to find workarounds for porting their games, or just not porting them at all. The Dreamcast isn't exactly the most sturdy console from what I've gathered, and the online capabilities were rather limited, even for the early 2000s. ...Okay, I'm pulling that online part out of my ass. I wasn't there for it, so I wouldn't know.

See here’s the thing. I don’t see the Sega CD as a bad add on. It’s overhated because of those FMV games. Erase those from the catalogue and it actually has solid games to play. FMVs are also fun if you’re drunk enough or sleepy. That’s the only thing on the list I disagree with, it’s a pretty good console/peripheral as I see it. The 32x… no I can’t defend that one. With the CD, it was segas first attempt of an add on and with the rise of CD-ROM formats gaining traction it made sense to attempt to step foot into the industry, unlike the 32x which arrived for seemingly zero context and sabotaged the Saturns US launch. The 32x was a poor move, the Sega CD was a good attempt of converting to CDs that ultimately failed. I just don’t see the reason of slander in this list, it was a fine part of segas line up I’ll happily embrace.

Best part with the Nuno is that it had 4 different controllers and not all games were compatible with all controllers. It was even region locked with only one game for the PAL region starring Crayon Shin-chan.

So, here's a little anecdote: My 7th-grade science teacher actually had a LaserDisc player. It wasn't a LaserActive (thank the Twelve), but she used it at one point for visual purposes for a day of group projects. I was actually really intrigued by the project in question (recovering four malfunctioning space probes from various points in the solar system), and have spent a long time since wondering if there's a way to get ahold of that particular disc and project for my own perusal. That said... I'm not paying $6K just to find out!

About time you made your own personal worst game consoles countdown video! I seen many different videos with the same topic including one from the Angry Video Game Nerd and WatchMojo. So I knew all of the bad consoles on your list. (Except the Nuon.). To be honest, I was expecting the Phillips CD-I to be ranked number 1. Although, the LaserActive is equally awful and expensive. All and all, it’s still an enjoyable video! Side note about the N-Gage: you forgot to mention that in order to change games, you’d need to practically disassemble it and remove the battery to do so. Then you’d have to put the battery back in and reassemble the N-Gage to play the different game. Lather, rinse, repeat. If that isn’t a design flaw, I don’t know what is!

To be even more fair to the Virtual Boy, (and to its designer, Gunpei Yokoi) it wasn't actually finished. To get it out for a holiday release, Nintendo higher-ups cut development off at a prototype stage. This led to Yokoi being basically laughed out of the company, despite his many, many contributions. These include the Game & Watch, the Game Boy, and also the fucking D-Pad. I personally think the Vboy deserves to be higher here because of all the horseshit involved in its development.

The 3DO was a good idea that was not executed correctly. The concept was to be able to insert a DISC and have it play much like your 8-Track player where you could have a video that played and was affected by choices. Dragon's Lair being a classic example. Unfortunately outside of "Digital Picture" games for the 3DO, they did not go this route and instead released subpar games that even Super Nintendo could do a better job on with only a few exceptions.

The 3DO always made me laugh because I got one second hand in 2002 for about $50 from my local game store. Hilarious about that price drop. Although I will say I got one of the later models that did not look like a VHS player. It kind of looked like a Sega CD. Well, looks like a Sega CD because I've still got it. I still enjoy Star Control 2 on it every once in a while.
