As someone with a lot of family and friends with Filipino-American roots (even my husband is Fil-am), R’Bonney as Miss USA means so much to me. I feel represented, we feel represented. The way she was treated felt personal oh believe me. The unconscious bias was so present it's beyond crazy but we are behind our girl. We are rooting for her as much as we are rooting for Celeste. First of all, I am so impressed with Philippines and SA for leading the pack. Because let’s be real. Those two countries are the best of IMG era. And they don’t slack off by sending 2 stellar candidates. However, the chances of SA or PH winning this year is quite low because the organization will most likely give chances to others. But still, hoping for a high placement for PH. If U.S.A. and Venezuela can consistently deliver onstage (and offstage) once the competition begins, then they have a bigger chance at winning the crown this time around.

From face, beauty and marketing value... Celeste is the winner from this year's batch. She has the most bankable and marketable beauty out of everyone. But from a strategic standpoint .... It just makes sense that JKN / Miss Universe crown R'Bonney. Miss U is already a big thing in the PH, and JKN knows that.... So Celeste winning is obviously a great choice. Rooting for R’Bonney but I would be happy if Celeste wins too. R’Bonney is the only one who really shows that she is an authentic transformative leader. The work she does with her sustainable fashion and teaching sewing to trafficked women-how can you beat that! And she has the bright cheerful personality, great with the cameras and with fashion, and is very approachable and a great inspiration.

My top 2 this year are definitely Philippines and Colombia. I think these girls both bring the complete package and I can see them being Miss Universe for sure! Other strong contenders I would say are Puerto Rico, Thailand, and Peru. Miss USA will win because she's not only the talk of the town, but she's also favorites of American and Filipino fans and lastly it would be the last Miss Universe handled by USA coz there is a new owner from Thailand that will took over Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe. This is only my own speculation It may, or it might not but this would be a great show for Miss Universe this year.
