I used lived only two blocks from the state capitol in Madison on West Washington Avenue in the late fifties. As a kid I use to play inside all the time (even slid down the marble stairwell, when I could get away with it ) . It was indeed a different time those days. I’ve always thought Madison was a special place to live and having traveled to many places In United States…I STILL DO 🥹♥️
