For the second trick, I think you need a phrase with 16 characters. "The seven of hearts" has 16 characters. If you want to mix it up, you can change "seven" to "three", "eight" or "queen" or you can change "hearts" to "spades" (or change both both). If you want to use "diamonds" you need a three-letter number like "ace", "two", "six", or "ten". Some choices are: 3/hearts, 3/spades, 7/hearts, 7/spades, 8/hearts, 8/spades, Q/hearts, Q/spades, A/diamonds, 2/diamonds, 6/diamonds, 10/diamonds. Remember to include "The" and "of" when counting.

I love the second effect but disagree about using a 16 as the number . The twist I put on it is doing it as a mentalist effect the only changes I did was to let the person go through the whole deck and pick up to 15 cards then follow your steps after all the cards are returned to the deck I do a couple of false cuts and ask them to focus on the card they chose as I remove random amounts of cards from the deck until I get to the 16th card then reveal there card . I’ve gotten great reactions from it . Thank you for sharing that effect

I hope you don’t take offense to my thoughts it’s just in my nature to try and reinvent things . My back ground is I’m a 61 year old kitchen and bath remodeler . I started trying to learn card effects during Covid and fell in love with it I am truely a beginner and want to thank you for what you share

So if my math is right this works with any amount of cards you aske them to pick up too as long as the end phrase or way you count them out is 1 more, so say they can take from 1 to 20 cards you just need to count out 21 cards to get to there card.

Couldn't follow the 2nd trick at all, no mention at all about the 7h just an instruction to remove 5 cards, don't understand it. Your usual stuff is really good though, thanks.
