Tired of people complaining about contestants having previous dance experience. A lot of celebrities do. Get over it. This show is more of a popularity contest anyway and the show has a lot of older viewers. Hence Sabrina Bryan and Heather Morris being eliminated way too early despite being the best in their seasons. Also I want to watch good dances.

Carrie Ann had it out for Simone Biles in my opinion. It wouldn't matter if she had danced flawlessly, Carrie Ann would have still found fault with her. She had it out for Monique Coleman (High School Musical) too in season three. She couldn't do anything right in Carrie Ann's eyes. Monique did a dance move where her partner Louis would pull her along and she did splits across the floor. Carrie Ann said she was showing off. Mel B did the exact same move with her partner Maks in season five. Carrie Ann acted like it was the best thing since sliced bread. Simone and Monique didn't get enough viewers votes, but I'm sure Carrie Ann's criticisms didn't help them either.

I don't know why people were scandalized by Kelly Monaco winning. Her freestyle alone not only lit the ballroom up and earned the raves of the judges but also set the standard for freestyles for the rest of the series. A total gamechanger.

I never liked Tyra Banks. She knew nothing about Dancing. It was all about herself and her elaborate customs that she wore. I stopped watching the show. I do like the current hosts, but I miss Tom's warmth and genuine caring for all involved with the show. I miss Erin too And her caring/ chemistry with Tom. This current cast, I don't know most of them. I have not voted since they stopped using the phone lines as a way to cast a vote.

Any of these shows that depend on viewer voting are popularity contests. Some of that popularity comes from their fan base going in, some from their charisma on the show, some from the package edits every week and some from their dancing ability. I'm sure there are other factors as well. When I used to watch more regularly, there were often folks who I liked to watch and wanted to get to the halfway point, but didn't want to win because they were charming and/or entertaining even though they weren't good dancers.

I'm a new viewer of the show, starting when it appeared on Disney+. Never did figure out what Tyra Banks had to do with dancing. That Anna Delvey, who caused so much grief and misery to those around her, would be given a platform feels offensive. Perhaps I'd feel better if I knew she'd made restitution to her victims. And she always says it's the other person's fault. The producers knew that when they cast her, that drama has always and will always follow her. 3. I agree that people with professional dancing experience shouldn't be included. If the producers want to do that, it could be another show; it's unfair to the people who don't know how to dance very well to make them perform again Broadway or t.v. dancers.

but at the same time though, A LOT of celebs start out on broadway or have multiple talents in case one of their multiple talents gets them recognition. a lot of young people start out with dancing AND singing, or singing AND acting, some sort of combo it just so happened that only one got them famous. i believe that celebs like jojo siwa, who started out in dancing and got popular from dancing and then started social media/acting/singing, shouldn’t be on the show bc like duh their career is dancing. but people like heather or even alfonso who started out with dancing but their acting career is what took off, then they are okay. they’ve been professionally acting for several years, not professional or ballroom dancing, so even tho they have that experience they are still rusty

The previous dance experience problem isn’t about having or not having experience. It’s about the inconsistency in how they go about dealing with it. They forced Heather Morris off because of hers but people like Meryl Davis, a gold medalist in Ice DANCING (essentially Ballroom dancing on ice) is allowed to win. And despite the way it was made to appear Heather was forced off.

In the movie, the blame for the attack on Nancy Kerrigan was put on Tonya's bodyguard, who was a weird guy (I saw some videos that he made, where some things he said were outright lies), and she said she didn't even know that he did it until he told her. I always thought she couldn't be so dumb as to actually attack a rival in an upcoming competition.

What I never understood was the hate Chaz Bono was getting being on the show. How did Chaz transitioning from a woman to a man affects anyone's life? Never knew about the voting glitz during Zendaya's season. At the time Zendaya wasn't as well known back then. I figured Kellie Pickler won because she was more known than Zendaya. I voted for the 3rd place finisher Jacoby Jones (RIP). Season one being recalled I felt was a bad look for ABC, for having an ABC employee compete on a ABC show. And a new show at that. Kelly Monoco's bad dancing didn't help either. It was clear the show was a popularity contest. Otherwise, she would have been eliminated first. And she didn't have to do that dance off. Think her ego made her do it, thinking she had something to prove. Soap actors don't get the same love as primetime and movie actors. Soap fans get highly upset with the actors, who worked on soaps and don't acknowledge their soap past. Anyway, I have always been against ABC employees competing. But ABC keep putting those folks from "Bachelor Nation" on. There would always be a question of impropriety behind the scenes. Still believe Bobby Bones winning his season had more to do with getting his pro partner a mirror ball. Sharna had three partners she could have won with and didn't. So I believe her fans were determined to get her that mirror ball trophy, no matter who her partner was. Unfortunately, her only win was with her worst partner. DWTS usually cast someone, who made headlines for the wrong reasons. Whether they got in trouble with the law or said something stupid, which was the case with Paula Deen. Casting these folks did people talking and they are. So mission accomplished. Anna Delvey is this season's "controversial contestant". Just one of a long line. Carol Baskin, Ryan Lochte, Adrian Peterson, Lil Kim, Tonya Harding, Lamar Odom to name a few.

It would not be the same show without the controversy each season. As to who should win? Whoever gets the most votes, regardless. The judges are tasked with determining a score based on rules of professional dance. If the public does not want to follow that guideline and vote for someone else to continue dancing, no problem. It´s not a contest of who is the best technical dancer, it´s a question of who do fans want to see dance another week, as it should be.

DWTS has a very loose definition of "star." Politicians, sports professionals (No one says, "The New York Yankees starring Aaron Judge"), and social media content creators are not stars. I feel like Bobby Bones became a much better dancer by the end in comparison to the Bachelorette star who became the winner in the end. She was absolutely terrible, but because Bachelor Nation had her back, she ended up winning. It was a travesty and much more so than Bobby's win.

I think if there's any crazy scandals of Dancing with the Stars that will be too many dancing partners get involved with their celebrity dancing partners and then dumps after the fling/relationship/marriage is over.Mario Lopez and Katrina,Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Sabrina Bryan and Mark ballas Britt Stewart and Daniel Durant Val Chemerkovsky and Amber Rose Sasha Farber and Emma Slater Makism Chemerkovsky and Peta Murgatroyd and the latest Nikki Bella (Garcia) and Artem Chigvintsev

Zendaya maybe a better dancer than Kelli. But (sorry, Val) derek a genius choreographer. And kelli can keep up with that. Their freestyle alone can win the final. The competition not just for the stars but also for the pro dancers. So i think both kelli and zendaya deserve to be win. But if i have to choose, i still choose kelli.
