I like Howl's Moving Castle better. In Your name they didn't even confessed their feelings to each other in the end, not so much romance there. I prefer to to watch a most satisfying final kiss towards the future, thank you
@kamilakryszan81344 жыл бұрын
@@MikamiYukimaru Taki did confess tho. And it's obvious they loved each other and got together in the end. Their emotions of finally finding each other again in the last scene confirm that. While I would normally agree on that confession and a perfect kiss, it's really not needed here as it's emotional throughout and visually stunning.
@MikamiYukimaru4 жыл бұрын
@Kamila Kryszan Mitsuha didn't hear Taki, so it doesn't count as a proper confession. I did understand the relationship between them, it was beautiful and all, and I did love the movie, its art, music, story, everything... It's sad that Jiro and Nahoko's marriage was cut short but the time they spent together was oh so sweet and precious! My favorite part is when Jiro travels all the way to her house just to see if she's alright, embracing her and everything! I do want to watch Weathering With You though. The voice acting for sub and dub sees sharp. And From Up On Poppy Hill is amazing too. It was like the start of a highschool love.

WHISPER OF THE HEART IS ONE OF MY FAVS!!!!! And so is Howl and Your Name!! Seriously, wow!! Great picks, Ms Mojo!! I love WOTH because it never fails to get me in a writing mood (I became an author partly because of this movie! Talk about Miyazaki magic!) I just relate to Shizuku so much! Change my name and my ethnicity and I literally could have lived her life. We're even a few years apart! I didn't have any life-goals or ambitions of my own, and my nose was always buried in a book even in classes that I enjoyed. I didn't do anything with the reading but I did do pretty well in English, until I was 17 and my friends convinced me to try writing again. At the same time, my mom helped me to see how great I am with animals and how that's a gift I shouldn't waste. I had to make a hard choice and I chose writing because veterinary school requires A LOT of schooling and school was never a good subject for me. Oh but how I wish I had her love story! Its just so fantastical and worthy of a novel and WOW! Seiji is so....How do I even explain? He's so...SEIJI, and I love it! And Howl's Moving Castle! Oh, what a masterpiece! A thrilling romance, a war to end, personal obstacles to overcome and a blossoming romance?! Sign me up! In fact, Howl getting depressed about his hair was the first exposure I had to anime. I didn't see the full movie, just that one clip, but it opened the doorway for me to agree to watch my first anime Ouran High School Host Club! I'll still go back and watch Howl every now and then but I lost the DVD and I don't have a laptop that has a disc drive anymore so I have to dig through the internet and find a safe online link but its always SOOO worth it! And Your Name.....its fantastic, don't get me wrong. Gave me all the feels and the animation is GORGEOUS and the story is truly unique! But it never explained how on earth the kids were able to communicate and switch bodies sixteen years apart. Confuses me every time but it also blows me away so I just roll with it.

They might not have been in the same order, but this list contained my personal Top 10 Anime Romance Films. My personal Top 10 would be: 10: The Wind Rises 9: The Garden of Words 8: Hotarubi no Mori E 7: The Girl Who Lept Through Time 6: The Night is Short Walk On Girl 5: Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl 4: Weathering With You 3: Whisper of the Heart 2: Howl's Moving Castle 1: Your Name The Wind Rises is one of my favorite Miyazaki films and while the Romance is not the sole focus of the film, it is an integral part of how the film conveys the themes of holding onto hope in the midst of life's most trying and difficult times. The Garden of Words was when I first started to take Shinkai's Romance themes seriously and it still has some of the strongest animation I've ever seen in a film. Hotarubi was such a great "Forbidden Love," story and one that does a great job of exploring how love goes beyond merely the physical. The Girl who Lept Through Time, is just a really fun and compelling ride that earns its earnest and heartfelt romantic moments. The Night is Short, is one of the funnest/funniest romance films you can ever watch. It is a great and colorful film about the earnest and determined nature of love to overcome the obstacles and awkwardness stacked in its path. Dreaming Girl, is an excellent continuation of the series, that beautifully captures how much Sakuta and Mai love each other but also how big a heart Sakuta has for those truly in need. It captures the sacrificial nature of love so well and the mystery elements are really well done. Weathering With You is such a beautiful film about how ultimately the only thing "you," owe the world is to be true to yourself, and how the pursuit of true love is both worth the fight, and never a bad thing. I love how it is both a cautionary tale about group responsibility for this world, and also fundamentally about being true to yourself and fighting to find love and acceptance in a cruel and constantly moving world. Whisper of the Heart is such a pure film. It is earnest in its portrayal of young love and it never feels forced. I love how it ties pursuit of love and pursuit of one's dreams together and the commentary it makes on the power of learning to understand others and what drives them to do the things they do. Howl's Moving Castle is to Ghibli what Beauty and the Beast is to Disney. It is a stunningly beautiful film that is centrally about love and true inner beauty being found only when you pursue it without pretense and with honesty. Its themes are timeless and the character growth of the leads feels so balanced but never lacking in nuance. Finally Your Name, one of my favorite films of all time and for my money the best example of the transcendent and inescapable nature of love ever committed to film. No other film I've seen communicates the sacrificial and selfless nature of love more than this film. Real love never lets go, even after the memories of that love have faded into waking memories. Real love sees the other person as an extension of yourself. Real Love never fails in its pursuit and goes beyond just feelings and words. Your Name is not just my favorite Anime Romance movie, it is my favorite Romance film period.

This is such a good list. Whisper of the heart is like a slice of life and the scene of Shizuku and Seiji biking in the evening through the neighbourhood overlooking the skyline has stuck with me, the plot and theme of the story is also amazing. Howl's moving castle is just incredibly beautiful, especially the setting and the soundtrack it's so blissful. Then Your Name is just perfect, all I can say is that I'm so glad I watched it. I'm incapable of describing what I feel when I hear sparkle, katawaredoki, dreamy lantern, zenzense or other songs in the soundtrack.

Great list overall. Everyone can quibble over placements but so many of the films on this list moved me to tears of joy, sadness, and triumph. I give my special shout out to Your Name for being one of the movies that absolutely changed my life. Also, I appreciate that disclaimer about how the Romance has to be central to the movie for it to qualify. As much as I love A Silent Voice, the Romance is very much secondary to the story of redemption and personal growth while learning to forgive yourself for the mistakes of the past.

The Anthem of the Heart is a must-watch! I get to love plots that do not force bonds/relationships. And the story is uniquely good too.

I LOOOOOVVEEEE this chanel but i would recomend maybe not describe the movies so much for exemple in tamako love story the university part and etc thats the tipe of thing you want to be a surprise so that the sadness and suspance builds up to a happy ending (or not) but this is totaly just my opinion keep up the awsome work :3

For me 'hotarubi no mori e" is number 1 because both characters love each other so strong even though their relationship are impossible and also their love can hurt them so much until it becomes unbearable, which is really relatable in real life too. And the fact that this movie was only 45 minutes long but it can describe the definition of "love" in very detail.

In terms of mature romance, I believe Rascal Does not Dream of a Dreaming Girl which was from the series ' Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai' is a real fit. I really like how they handled every situation without being driven by emotions in most parts of it.
