I feel like this is a pretty solid list, except for one thing. I feel like Smash Bros is more it's own thing than specifically Mario and I feel like songs from actual Mario games should have replaced those songs... Still though, I'll admit, I am so happy that Yoshi's Island made it to the top 3! I am so glad people love it so much!

I mean what did we expect for number 1. The ground Theme is literally one of the most if not the most recognisable music in video game history. It's also a bit of a stretch to include Super Smash Bros and I guess Donkey Kong. Great compositions all around though.

Well to be fair, if someone knows Mario, they know that song, and Mario is known worldwide, as iconic as big names in pop culture like Mickey Mouse, Spider-Man, BatMan, Jason Voorhees, Son Goku, Ronald McDonald. And those are just characters in all of pop culture, in video game's culture, no one is above the big M's influence and popularity. It helps that Nintendo also promotes the song to this day, even having it's motif in Mario's signature autograph.
