Disney may have not done a live action Peter Pan, but Tristar/Sony did it, in a different way, and it's a one of my favorite movies of all time. Hook was amazing and Robin Williams was the perfect person for that role. Dustin Hoffman's Captain Hook was great as well. Can't help but mention Bob Hoskins as Smee.

Disney has made a live action of Peter Pan. Disneys Peter Pan & Wendy from 2023 cost $170 million and grossed $0 in theaters as Disney never dared to release it in theaters and it went straight to Disney+. It doesn't look like Disney can make good movies anymore.

I liked it, but still felt that, though it was a different time, how the hell anybody would do something that messy when their culture even puts people to death over cheating. I wasn't even sure if Jacques's perspective even implied that it wasn't rape. It wasn't until it showed Marguerite taking her shoes off that it looked kinda odd, implying consent.

18:00 The failure of “CATS” is actually amazing Somehow the studio didn’t recognize that the reason the musical was so successful was because of REPEAT tickets. Basically, millions of cat ladies would make semi regular pilgrimages to Broadway to go watch it. But no one else ever saw it 😅 So, when it hit feeders, all the cat ladies saw it once, didn’t like it, and nobody else came to see it

It’s simple: a movie’s a flop if it doesn’t make back its production budget AND its marketing budget. Even if a movie makes millions of dollars over its production budget, the studio can still lose money because studios spend huge amounts of money marketing these blockbusters.

What I like the most about the X-Men movies is the fact that they never tried to follow the MCU's formula or its tropes, especially after it became a trend They never relied on nostalgia, the tone always kept consistent, and they always focused on the present And Dark Phoenix kept that way They kept their sense of individuality. My problem with 47 ronin was that instead of having one actor (Keanu), whose character was supposed to be born and raised in Japan speak Japanese, they had the japanese actors speak in English instead. I feel like the dialogues in English restrained their performances, and these are even top notch actors including hiroyuki sanada. Compare that to the performances in letters from iwo jima, a Hollywood movie with an all-japanese cast speaking and acting comftably in their native language.

The PROBLEM with "47 Ronin" is that the original Japanese version was based on historical fact. These master swordsman actually existed. In Japan, there is a monument dedicated the last survivor. Hollywood refuses to do any research to so many movies in order to make money. Sad!

Plus if you have physical media never get rid of them for if streaming becomes more and more powerful that theaters will continue to close down and that will be the end of the art that is cinema.

It's a horrible movie, I suffered through the entire thing.... unoriginal, unfunny, not good....they actually had a somewhat decent idea for the ending where is most of the superhero movies fail....having the villain die to be reborn is such a cool concept and they bring him back as the most plain jane, bland, horrible CGI villian when they could've done so much more.....the movie is absolutely horrible, what part of the movie is good outside of the Doctor Fate character? Who actually should've been the one to get his own movie.....the movie is so generic and predictable and boring and The Rock is not a good actor....I seriously am shocked people liked this movie.......it's SOOOOO bad

Haven't seen Babylon yet but the other 3 you mentioned I thought sucked. Last Duel and Amsterdam's storylines were both so conduleded and all over the place. Watch Mojo said it best "they couldn't decide what movie they wanted to be". And neither of them were entertaining, groundbreaking, or even that thought provoking. However they did do a good job in Last Duel recreating the time period, with the knight battles, and with a few of the performances. While some of the other actor performances in both movies dragged the story down especially with the lack of chemistry between the actors. Beyond that they weren't good movies. My main problem with West Side story it was an unnecessary remake. Though the performances were great and the cast was very talented it was an identical copy of the original that could never exceed the original in acting and performances. I would of rather just rewatch the first one in theaters.

Black Adam was banned from some other countries that’s why it seemingly flopped worldwide, reall they just hated Johnson making his own DC film. Last Duel was really good also. Also I liked 47Ronin. It’s crazy cause I watch a lot of movies and haven’t seen any of these except Adam, league, 47. I wish I had the opportunity I would make the most successful movie ever cause I see trends and style before they happen I just necker had a backer
