Mallow’s backstory and meeting with her deceased mother.😭 “Memories In the Mist” is my favorite episode from Sun & Moon, but it is utterly heartbreaking. I cry every single time. Even though that particular series was more comedy focused than any other, it sure had moments that were just heartbreaking. Some moments made me shed happy tears, too, such as the final shot of the finale where it showed Professor’s Kuikui and Burnet on their porch as they watched Ash’s Alolan team playing, and it showed Professor Burnet was pregnant. That’s such a beautiful shot and it’s the only time we’ve actually seen a pregnant character in the Pokémon anime, so that was awesome.

I think it was great that they even showed Ambipom during the montage of all of Ash’s Pokémon cheering him on. While he never actually used her as an Ambipom, as she was traded for Dawn’s Buizel in the DP episode “Throwing The Track Switch” she was still a big part of Ash’s team, and was actually a real powerhouse when she was with him. While I personally don’t hate how she left the anime as a whole in the episode “To Thine Own Pokémon Be True” I can totally understand the fandom’s hatred towards her goodbye.

Minior unalives. Disappearing often refers to a Pokemon unaliving in the series You forgot Cleffa’s unaliving from illness being just a baby. This episode bc it was a little girl who lost her Pokemon really was a tear jerker almost too similar to the Mr Hooper episode in Sesame Street.

Litten/Stoutland and Charmander waiting for his trainer are two of the big ones for me. And it always gets to me when Paul treats Chimchar horribly. Also, in the first movie it isnt so much what happens to Ash as much as it is Pikachu's reaction. 😢 The saddest moment, though... while not a part of the main series, in Origins, when Cubone runs and his mother is beaten to death. You missed so many tear jerking moments in the series Amber2 disappearing into light along with the 3 starters which showed Mewtwo had feelings until the scientists turned him into a sociopath When Latios unalives and reincarnated into the soul dew, it was really sad to see Latias crying Ralts and Max saying goodbye to each other Unown helping Ash understand Larvitar’s PTSD Lucario unaliving after hearing his trainer Sir Aaron’s last words. He reincarnates later into Ash’s Lucario (Ash is confirmed to be the reincarnation of Sir Aaron) reuniting with his trainer in his next life Mirage aka Gameshark Mew unaliving to save Ash. Chimchar breaking down when Ash praises him bc of his PTSD Pikachu nearly unaliving after getting hyper beamed by Raichu Zoroark unaliving after getting electrocuted with Zorua mourning his mother. She later gets resurrected by Celebi. When Pikachu and Piplup say goodbye. Piplup admits he loves Pikachu while crying which gets Pikachu crying as well. This was the only farewell Pikachu was crying.
