Blue Valentine destroyed me to pieces. It's incredible how realistic the movie was. I wanted to rewatch the movie but I can't because it's extremely hard to watch the movie again, it's really hard. Blue Valentine is one of those movies you can only watch it once, too depressing but still a fantastic movie with incredible acting and script

Closer... my god. Just thinking of that movie makes me ill with heartbreak. Bridges of Madison County with her in the truck making the final decision... gut-wrenching. In the past, I was pleased at the imagined happy ending of Will and Skylar. Now, I think Skylar deserved far better. I hope she wished him luck and moved on with someone who didn't emotionally abuse her. (I hope Will ended up happy. But, he needed to earn that with someone else.)

Gotta Go My Own Way is my favorite song from HSM2! I love it so much that I watch that scene then stop the movie to listen to it on my phone on repeat, and then when I continue watching the movie I watch the scene just so I can listen to the song again! Yeah I’m very addicted to that song, but honestly IDGAF.

Mrs. Doubt fire is such a beautiful and charming movie. I love it. But watching it as someone who’s own parents have been divorced for most of my life it’s….really difficult. I was very young when my parents divorced (4 when they split up and 5 when they divorced) so I have pretty much zero memories of them being together. But knowing that my parents really were married at some point and that they did go through a divorce makes watching that movie very hard and surreal. Certain scenes like when the kids go to their dad’s for dinner and they’re trying to just figure their lives out is really hard but very relatable for me. That movie is so good because it handles divorce in a very realistic and relatable way. Which as a child of divorced parents makes watching that movie very hard but very….Understandable and attainable. It’s a beautiful film and the ending when Mrs. Doubtfire talks about divorce and all the different kinds of families always makes me cry because I relate so hard to it.
@Chocobear5552 жыл бұрын
*MRS. DOUBTFIRE* : You neglected to mention that Miranda decided to end her marriage after she was reunited with a handsome, rich ex-boyfriend who she was still obviously attracted to. While she never admitted it, I do think that was a motivation for her decision to divorce Daniel.

Great list, but here are some I felt were worth the honourable mentions:- -The Worst Person in the World (2021) -Her (2013) -Catherine & Theodore’s divorce is rough but the scene where Samantha leaves him is especially emotional -The Break-Up (2006) (it’s in the title for a reason) -Love & Other Drugs (2010) -High Fidelity (2000) (?) granted it’s more about the complications of love but yeah -any part of Marriage Story (2019) -Chungking Express (1994)-imagine getting legitimately dumped on April Fool’s.

Luna and Sam from “A Loud House Christmas”. The plot of the movie revolves around Lincoln upset that he won’t be spending Christmas with his family like he was looking forward to so he sabotages his family’s plans in order to make it so they can spend the holiday together. This includes Luna who has planned a ski trip with her girlfriend, Sam Sharp. Lincoln mixes together sound bites of Luna’s idol, Mick Swagger, and it sounds like Mick is wanting to have a jamming sesh with Luna on Christmas so she decides to do this. This makes Sam upset and causes Sam to break up with Luna. While the breakup happens off screen there’s a scene late into the movie that shows just how devastated Luna is. Thankfully the two girls do get back together in the end as revealed by Lincoln.

Luna: 🎵No presents tucked under the tree🎵 Lincoln: Luna? Luna: Oh hey little bro. Lincoln: Are you crying? Luna: Sam broke up with me because I picked jamming with Mick Swagger over going skiing with her! Lincoln: (To himself) that wasn’t supposed to happen. (To Luna) I mean I’m so sorry that happened. Luna: 🎵Christmas time is when our hearts are free but if I ain’t with you I’m in misery my heart is dead🎵
