Yeah I don’t know how this did not include the 500mph smash from Rankireddy that had Takuro Hoki swinging so late the bird was already on the ground between his legs and past him…😤. Beyond just that shot though, I’ve been watching closely this whole season and I feel like this reel doesn’t even come close to representing the best of this year… obviously its all subjective but some of these, while excellent, are just so not top 20 of this year. Of course its also hampered by the clear decision to only including shots on the main TV broadcast (so a fraction of the played matches) and its an absurd amount of footage to go through but … maybe either make it a top 5 or 10 and do more due diligence or just title the video something less definitive. The top 20 statement on this selection feels a bit silly

Satwik never smash 565kmph in real tournament, only in testing Yonex racket In real tournament, Satwik clocked at 500kmph, still the fastest smash in a tournament till this date, the 500kmph should be added, though

That Axelsen smash (half lift) easy finish for any of the men, was not a good choice. He has so many much better deep court smash this year.

Somebody could make a video of 20 random smashes of Axelsen in 2023 and it'd still be far better than this list. I understand they want to include a variety of players and show rallies that are more than just one killer smash, but right now, a handful of players are completely separated from the rest in terms of smash. Axelsen, Lee Zii Jia, Wang Tzu Wei, Shi Yuqi, Rankireddy are the people that come to mind, and even within them I think Axelsen and Lee Zii Jia are clear cut above. And let's face it, the best smashers in women's cannot compare to even top 30 best smashers in men's.

Honestly I’d say its Rankireddy aho’s far above the rest of the game… nobody else has come close to his 500kmph (and yes that one was in a match, not his factory record breaking one). And I think even if women’s players smashes dont hit the same, I think thats fair to factor in - I agree w/ ur general point on this video but Chae YuJung’s smash I think was a great inclusion, at least on the basis of how much it took Zheng and Huang by surprise - a true rarity!

In addition Liang weikeng's 440kph, Zheng siwei's 442kph and Wang ziwei's 483kph. There were few way faster smash than Rankireddy's 500kph, which didn't go straight through for the point or beside of the opponents, like Shi yuqi and Wang chilin
