Right, There were so many great songs on both Guardians soundtracks that I now equate to Guardians, it's kind of weird that they picked this one.

True. Kind of surprised they picked Mr. Blue Sky. I wouldn't really associate the song solely with Guardians, but 'Hooked on a Feeling' I could totally see being primarily associated with the first film.

In 2018 semi-biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, Mike Myers plays a record executive refusing to release Bohemian Rhapsody as their featured single because he thinks “kids want a song they can crank the volume in their car radios and bang their heads to, and it’s not Bohemian Rhapsody” self deprecating himself and his love for the song.

Eye of the Tiger, Time of My Life, and Don't You Forget seem like they belong in a different category, being written specifically for the movie. Pretty Woman, where the movie is named for the song, also seems like a different category. For me, in Almost Famous, my song-scene connection is the Kate Hudson character getting her stomach pumped to the tune of Stevie Wonder's My Cherie Amour.

Awesome list! Regarding "Eye of the tiger" I also can't separate it from the incredible group Paso Doble on Dancing with the stars. Fun fact, Mike Myers sent Queen a tape with the Bohemian Rhapsody scene, which Freddie got to see before he died and absolutely loved it! Not only did he get a great laugh out of it, but also probably a kernel of hope that Queen's legacy and his status as a legend was secure.

I will always associate Johnny B. Goode and Eye of the Tiger with Back to the Future and the Rocky francise. 😊 But there are also some other Songs, that aren't on this List, where I always think of the Film when they are played in. Bright Eyes - Art Garfunkel for the Film "Watership down" (sorry for the upcoming childhood trauma) Last Unicorm - America for the Film "The Last Unicorn" 634-5789 - Wilson Pickett in the Film "Blues Brothers 2000" "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me" Higher And Higher" - Jackie Wilson in the Film "Ghostbusters 2" (everytime I hear the first notes from this song, I see the Statue Of Liberty walking down the streets of New York to the Museum 😂) "Wilhelm Tell Ouverture" - Rosini in the "Lone Ranger" TV Series "I Got You Babe" - Sonny and Cher in the Film "Look Who's Talking"

Where is my mind? along with Sweet Dreams (are made of this), White Rabbit, Army of Me and Tomorrow never knows... SuckerPunch. I mean, the story might not make a lot of sense but killer soundtrack. But I can't argue with #1- literally from my favorite movie of all time :D. Also goes to show how iconic the 80's were for bringing great songs into the social conscience where it will endure forever

Johnny B Goode is a oldie where I come from too. At least he got to play at "a" high school prom dance and he's still "too darn loud" (all the better for the 'next generation' of teens).
