The Dreamcast was amazing. The problem was that it was too amazing and ambitious for the time. It sucks so much since the original Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 are much better than their ports imo.

Ahead of its time. I'll never forget my dad getting one for 50$ after sega gave up on it. That was from toys r us too. Brand new. Crazy taxi, nfl2k1 and virtual fighter. Even had internet!! Still love it today

Literally no one complained about Conker’s graphics. That was one of the high points. I mean look at that fur lol. The censorship in the campaign was weird though considering the online portion had f bombs in it.

On the Epic vs Apple thing; this was Epic throwing a hissy fit. Sure, the 30% cut was basically theft, but Epic's mistake was the fact that they WILLINGLY breached the contract that they WILLINGLY signed. I was hoping for Fortnite to be destroyed as a result of this stupid stint, but alas; Epic didn't get enough punishment at all for wasting everyone's time. At least Apple fixed their stupid money theft rule, right? ...Right?

At least I’m happy Okami got more love in the future and when people saw Chuggaconroy’s let’s play of Okami, it was hidden gem that was now more loved and recognized. Plus it got a sequel for the DS and even Ammy was a fighting character in Marvel Vs Capcom 3/Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3. Heck it was even ported to some gaming systems as an HD remake so everyone can experience this beautiful amazing gem. Sure it sold poorly in the past but I’m glad people start to love Okami more.

The sheer amount of funding it got from huge investors, the fact more money must've went into marketing and the shitty studio practices that obviously took place. Plus, the fact that they showed fake gameplay similar to No Man's Sky before it was released. I've said it once and I'll say it again. It's a modern E.T.

I think Steam saw the issue with Sony and Microsoft consoles and tried to make sure it didn't happen with the Steam Deck. It also has had its share of problems with scalpers as well. Additionally, store chains have also droppes the ball on this issue. Only Gamestop has seemingly solved it the best by selling units as bundles.

I had the Dreamcast and the Saturn. I really enjoyed the few games I had for them. I remember playing Mortal Kombat when it first came out in the Arcades. When Sub-Zero ripped my character's head off, I was hooked.

Microsoft decision to launch the Xbox One console probably goes down as the worst failure in my eyes. It essential gave Sony the overwhelming market share to a point where Microsoft still hasn't fully recovered over a decade later despite the next gen console release. I can't believe anyone would hire Don Mattrick to run another company division ever.

I used to help out my family's tech shop by taking apart red-ringed xbox's and reflowing them. Took about an hour and a half to 2 hours for $60-ish back in 2011 when all the work was was just popping the thing apart entirely, covering the parts around the chip with this blue play-doh junk, sticking tinfoil to it, and hitting it with a heat gun for like 2~3 minutes and letting it cool. You did that like 3 times, put it back together, and it fixed it for awhile. We made money hand over fist cause the fix would last for shorter amounts of time each time till you just had to buy a new xbox. It was legit great and I got to where without hunting down screwdrivers, I could have one of those fuckers taken apart in about 3 minutes tops.

I remember getting the Xbox shortly after its release because we couldn't get a Wii at the time. We never had any issues until just a few years ago when the disk slot stopped opening. Other then that the system still works just fine.

I love that Battlefront 2 got better and it's now a brilliant game. Its a shame that updates are no longer being developed but the final product that we have now is great!
