Nope. The cost of a 5090 is not something most will want to pay or afford. PC gaming is dying, slowly unfortunately.. Consoles will only get better as the most simplistic way to play, and cost not even half the price a high end GPU

Yes the 4090 it can since this is with DLSS, without aka native resolution the 5090 will run them at 21fps(as per the Nvidia website) but with DLSS it will run them at 150-200+, and in my opinion that is bad not the graphics card but on the developer's side since this will cause a lot of games to be extremely unoptimized for the older gen cards and that all games will require you to use DLSS and Frame gen as a requirement rather than an option.

@@AizekClarkstone I play CB2077 with Full RT on and DLSS in Quality mode in 4K (turned off Ray Reconstruction because it's terribly smudgy). Generally experiencing a game in Path Tracing with some drop in image clarity isn't that bad at all, considering even the raw power of 5090 wouldn't be enough right now to run path tracing at 60+ fps. I am pretty sure DLSS will be flawless in the near future. I feel like it's got a little better since 2023 when I first tried DLSS in CB2077 and hated it for the soapy artifacts. DLSS isn't worth it for only fast paced games for sure, even wukong with DLSS 4 doesn't look good, I can see the ugly wukong artifacts through the youtube compression..

My current old GTX 1060 6GB card use only 120 Watts. RTX 5090 uses 575 Watts. That's about 4.79 times more. I get that the new card are more powerful, but think they can get those watt numbers down by using better algorithms. I like gaming and using computer for a variety of things like video editing etc. that requires a lot of processing. But also like to have a future, where earth power consumption are not sky rocketed, so the global warming could perhaps be minimized.

I'm seeing all the focus on Ray Tracing, which is ok, but the difference is negligible unless there are reflective areas. What about path tracing, aren't we at that stage already?

i think the demo is path tracing that's why without dlss there were only 20 fps... path tracing is ver very demanding for gpu..

@@driverop69 But if that is the case, then why are they mentioning ray tracing? Can you have both, ray tracing and path tracing at the same time? Because to be honest, when "ray tracing on" the only difference are reflections. I see nothing else. While path tracing makes everything more real.

AI is the future of graphics, both Nvidia and AMD have stated this. What is the main thing that takes up a lot of memory? The geometry? I don't think so. I think the super large, detailed textures might be the biggest hog, correct me if I'm wrong. Now imagine they replace all those resource hog textures with a new 2D image like a version 25 QR code, that the GPU AI can convert into super realistic textures in any size needed on the fly. No pre-compiling of shaders or gobs of storage or RAM needed. Just something I thought up, that I would think could be done, if not now in the future.

neural images have a distinct "averaged/median" look that is really anoying...maybe more than 1 to 1 real to neural frames seriously distorts the creators' image and in the end you don't know what you'll see ...
