2023 UPDATE! This video was filmed back on the old Weight Watchers program with the colors, so points may be different now. For my new 2023 video with updated points and calories, check out my newest WW food favs here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/apjJfmB7idmbh68 PLEASE NOTE!!! I put a picture of processed foods in the thumbnail so this video would not appeal to anyone who is more of a clean eater. If you eat 100% clean, this video will not appeal to you. I strive to keep my diet 80% whole foods - lean proteins, whole grains, fruits, veggies, healthy fats, etc. However, as I have been making my transition to healthier eating, these are some things that have assisted me in making a little better choice than I would have previously. This is what works for me as I transition to a healthier lifestyle, but it is surely not all I eat or what I eat on a regular basis. These are alternatives for those who are already eating similar processed items, but it's definitely not meant to say that this is all you should eat! You have to do what works for you! :) Sorry about the loud intro and the lighting! Not sure why this video came out so dark. 2022 Update!

Suggestion: back in 2003 we use to make a huge batch of the zero points vegetable soup on hand at all times so we always had a go-to food in emergencies. We'd freeze it in small containers and zap it in the microwave.

I'm so glad that you have taken the time and effort to make these videos. I've been on WW before, but when the points came in, I had a lot of trouble making that transition. And just starting back now, it is pretty difficult for me to get into meal planning and taking advantage of the low points foods to make it interesting and not going back to my old "plain chicken breast - rice - broccoli type meal. You rock!

When I want some crunch, I drain and rinse a can of garbanzo beans. Lay on a paper towel to drain off excess water. Put them on a rack on my air fryer. Spray will cooking spray and sprinkle with garlic powder . Cook on 400 for about 8 minutes.

Walmart has powdered peanut butter which is about half the price of the brand name, and a even a few less calories. For the popcorn, try the Butter Spritzer from Kernel Seasonings (the same brand as the cheddar powder), it doesn’t make the popcorn soggy and the salt or seasonings stick really well. Another tip for the popcorn: order “mushroom” popcorn kernels, they pop up much bigger for the same calories per ounce.

Great suggestions and inspiration! Two of my favs are Sugar Free Fat Free Jello pudding mix (cheesecake flavor) that I mix with zero point yogurt. 1/4 pkg=1 pt on Blue, but it really doesn't take that much. It sets up pretty quickly but it is really good with fruit. The other is mixing your fav Ranch seasoning with zero point yogurt for a vegetable dip or sprinkled on popcorn.

@@PlanningUsHealthy I also do the sugar free cheesecake pudding mix as well. I like to use it for dip but...I also like it to flavor my yogurt for breakfast and I'll add a smidge of the cheesecake pudding along with a smidge of sugar free jello (pick your favorite flavor- orange, lemon, cherry etc) and it is so delicious and the pudding when mixed with the fat free yogurt gets really fluffy like your eating the whipped yogurts. You can also use it this way for a fruit salad, or make it into a pie filling with your favorite fruit. The possibilities are endless

I did weight watchers a few years ago and did great on it. I started again about 4 months ago because I gained all my weight back and then some. I struggled in the beginning as what didn't work before wasn't working this time. I kind of gave up but kept watching you. I gained a bit more and am now pre-diabetic. I have no choice but to make changes now. My problem is a I have no willpower and I like to snack. This has helped with some snack ideas! I have also started to meal plan again and I just need to stick to it! Thanks for your videos!

I lost 40 lbs on WW. Then covid hit. Being bored and mostly staying home, it was so easy to eat and snack. Gained 30 lbs back. Now I have just begun WW again. I highly recommend it. Its not hard to follow the plan. I already use many of the foods you suggested plus I found a couple of new things to try. Thanks for sharing.

Well said!! I find that the program isn't hard either. I love that you can still eat such a variety of things. I can honestly say there are very few days that I'm ever truly hungry. However, my daughter is getting married in September and I just couldn't justify spending $56 a month. I just found your KZbin channel and you are inspiring me! I really need to lose 50 pounds by September but I will be very happy with 30! I am now a subscriber to your channel!

Awww...thanks so much for your kind words, Pam!! Thank so so much for subscribing! WW has definitely come a long way with trying to teach more about the healthy foods compared to years ago. I understand about not wanting to pay that. I do WW online, which is $20 per month, but I know there are several people who use the iTrackbites app as well. I'm not really familiar with that one though. I understand it's real similar to WW - it just uses bites instead of points.

I had it back in July and I'm still trying to fully recover (just have some lingering ear, nose, and throat issues, but my energy is finally back). Hi Pam!! Thanks so much! I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos!! I totally understand the night time cravings. I struggle with that. I do excellent all day and then at night I sometimes struggle. It's more habit for me than anything. I've really been trying to change things up though and just get some exercise in when I feel that way. The scale can definitely be frustrating. I've recently started not focusing on that number anymore because I know that number is just that - a number. There's so much more than that. Just don't give up!! :)

Hi Kristi, I can't thank you enough for your KZbin channel. My husband and I (And now my sister) joined WW blue about one month ago. I watched a good number of other KZbin channels, before finding yours. Your channel is the best one I've found.......and as my husband says, "You are realistic, and your meal preps taste so good!" Thank you, so much, for your inspiration, and guiding us down a path to a healthier lifestyle.

I have gained weight from menopause. I have no clue which plan to do to lose this weight. Any information you can give me would help me so much. Today is my first time on your channel and I love it. Thank you!
@PlanningUsHealthy3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Welcome!! 😀 Thank you so much!! I hear you about menopause. I went through it a few years back - still deal with some things, but not as bad. I will be 50 this year, so I was young to go through it. It definitely affects the speed of weight loss, for sure! When I was in my 30s, I could lose weight so fast. Now it's like a turtle. But I've decided to just focus on my healthy habits and not worry about the number on the scale. It will all even out eventually. As far as the different colored plans, when you sign up, there's a questionnaire you take that will ask you about your preferences and then give a suggestion at what plan you would benefit from. The purple plan has a lot more zero-point foods but then you get less points for the other choices. Green is where you pretty much just count everything. I compare purple and green like purple is for those who really want to focus on healthy eating, whereas green is more about just eating whatever points fit in your day. Blue is the in between (that's the one I've always done). You still get quite a few zero-point foods, but also have additional points for other options. There's nothing that says you have to stick with a certain color. If you find it doesn't work for you after a couple weeks, you can switch to something else. But they just suggest you give your body time to adjust. I hope that was a little bit helpful. I'm actually counting calories at the moment due to an ulcerative colitis flare I'm having, but I'll more than likely be going back to counting points once I'm back in remission. :)

Wonderfully video. Thanks for the information. I just wish you have put a picture on the left for all the products. Because you show them moving your hand and some I could not get them. I am more visual person. But I love everything you did for helping me with ideas

Thanks so much, Carmen! For some reason the video came out a little dark as well. I think next time I will just do a closeup of the products, kind of like I do in my grocery haul videos - that way you can really see the product better. Thanks so much for the suggestion!! I'm with you - I'm a visual person as well! 😊
