To make this truly zero points, according to WW rules (counting blended fruit), you could simply not blend the fruit for the smoothie. Just kind of make a yogurt bowl and then the fruit would be zero. Even if you omitted the almond milk and OJ, the calorie difference is minimal - maybe 20 calories. Or go ahead and make the smoothie without the fruit and just add the fruit so you're eating it. ;) I personally have never counted my blended fruit, but that's just me. Y'all know my saying - you do you! 😉

These foods look so good and healthy too! I hate when people show what they eat in a day on WW and start out with Mcdonald's food.....NOOO! Lol! Thanks for this video, it's so helpful to me
@PlanningUsHealthy Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much!! I think those are probably trying to show that eating McDonald's once in a while is a norm for them, (and completely okay) so they're showing it since they eat that on that particular day. But just for me personally, I honestly don't eat fast food hardly ever because it just doesn't agree with me. But if I did have it on a day I was doing a What I Eat video, I'd feel the need to show it out of honesty with everyone. Hope that made sense. But it definitely wouldn't be a regular thing for me. ;) I'm so glad the video was helpful!! 😊

Super interesting! I tried WW, but I wasn’t eating enough zero point foods and was starving so I went to calorie counting and felt so much better. I have diet restrictions and it was just too hard for me on WW. I still sometimes use it when I want to be really healthy. I’m using my net diary and it seems to work for me. I have maintained my weight for years with intuitive eating, but found myself eating too many sweets. WW will certainly stop that!

Hi Great video! Thank you! I come to youtube to get inspiration from everyone else that does WW ..... right now I'm personally struggling with a small setback (broken knee cap) so my regular exercise has been disrupted. Lost over 100 #s on WW and my activity level is key to my plan. Walking is fine but they don't want me to swim so my weight has gone up ugh! Your work here's so appreciated by me. Don't know anything about macros though.... maybe that's where I'm missing out? thank you for such a good presentation! My new fav zero points snacks are herbal tea w/ apple slices (I'm in New England--cold here!) Smoked paprika chicken breast, unsweetened applesauce w/ berries, grape tomatoes, and there's more! The blender's one of my fav appliances so the whole blending rule challenges me and good for you for having it your way! May try that myself at some point!
@PlanningUsHealthy Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much!! I know exactly what you mean! I've come to realize that exercise is absolutely key to me!! If you're following WW, you don't really need to worry about macros. They factor that all in for you. I just share it because I do track my protein at the request of my doctor, but I definitely wouldnt recommend tracking macros and calories AND WW. Just stick to one or the other to make it simple! :)

Hi, I have a ?.. I just started WW with 23 points a day. I was just wondering how we can eat free foods all day because aren't we suppose to eat our daily points? Please explain. Thank you!
@PlanningUsHealthy Жыл бұрын
Hi there! I also get 23 points a day plus 28 weeklies. And yes, we ARE supposed to eat them. On a typical day, I do eat my 23 points, as well as my extras throughout the week. I also eat a lot of the zero-point foods in a day as well. I usually use my points for adding things to zero point foods - cheese, sauce, etc., nuts, olive oils, whole grains, etc. This particular video was just showing how you can get creative with zero point foods. But they are definitely not "free" foods, so to speak. Everything has calories. So, if I would have eaten all this PLUS my 23 points, chances are I would have been over my calories for this particular day. It's all about moderation though. Feel free to check out some of my What I Eat in a Day videos to see how I typically use my points in a day. I hope that made sense and was helpful. :)

Technically it’s not a 0 pt day if you add fruit to your smoothie. I know you know that, but if you’re saying you are challenging yourself to 0 pts, you should do 0 pts according to WW rules yeah? What would your smoothie have been if you added it to the recipe maker in the ww app? It wasn’t a lot of fruit though and it sure did look good!!! So my challenge to you would be could you technically do a 0 pt day and still hit 1400 or more calories? This is a great video thanks for sharing!! New sub ❤
@PlanningUsHealthy Жыл бұрын
Totally understand what you're saying. That's why I mentioned that you could just make a yogurt bowl out of the same ingredients. It's just the blended fruit, by WW rules, that has points. So, in that case, I just wouldn't have blended it, and it would be 0. Hope that made sense. 😊 And welcome!!

I’m thinking of joining, I eat plant based/vegan, do you think if I eat an egg substitute (I use one called Just Egg) that it could equate to zero points as well? Or no idea?
@PlanningUsHealthy9 ай бұрын
Hi there! I was going to guess that it would be zero points, but I looked it up and it says 2 points. But keep in mind, you will get so many points a day plus extra weeklies that you could use. (I get 23 a day plus 28 weeklies). But beans, fruits, and veggies are all zero (I'm making the assumption you are focused on those). So I think it would even itself out. I can't really be sure though.

Absolutely!! Go for it!! I actually meant to mention that in the video - it's kind of like an open collaboration for anyone who wants to give it a go. I'm excited to see what others come up with! 😀

Great video. Honest question since. I dont unserstand WW.. why was the feta cheese 0 points at breakfast but you couldnt add it to your salad?
@PlanningUsHealthy Жыл бұрын
It's because at some point, when you have more of something, it then becomes a point. This doesn't happen for true zero-point foods, but for foods that actually have points, you usually go by the normal serving size and it has points. But if you just want a small amount of something, it's possible it can be zero. But then having several servings of that throughout the day, would bring it to the normal serving size. That's why I don't do a lot of videos like this because I want to have a good relationship with food and not be so stringent on things like that. But I wanted to also show that it's still possible to make a zero point day out of pointed foods and have it be a decent amount of calories without just eating chicken and veggies. Hope that made sense. :)

Thank you for explaining. That makes sense now.

Thank you for sharing this. Do you struggle with hunger issues? I'm a 45 year old female, and I struggle with constant hunger. I'm not diabetic. My doctor put me on Metformin to help. I've been on it for a week and a half but don't like it. I want to increase my protein intake without going over my WW Points. I don't buy or eat beef too often. I also don't eat eggs. They make me nauseous. If I do eat an egg it will most likely be a boiled egg in a salad. I do like my plant based protein like Garden of Life. Any suggestions?
@PlanningUsHealthy Жыл бұрын
Hi there! Honestly, I don't struggle with hunger issues at all anymore. (I used to back years ago when I would restrict my calories). I eat all my points plus my weeklies (but not my exercise points). I just make sure to be as balanced as possible throughout the day. I eat A LOT of veggies, so the fiber in those really fill me up. Are you eating your weekly points in addition to your daily points? If not, it may be possible that you're just not eating enough. It wouldn't hurt to try to find a registered dietician who can maybe help figure things out for you. We are all so different so it's really hard to say. ;)

Hello my name is Nadine ( this is my husband Naji's channel) and I've been on WW for about 1 year. So far it has been working very well. I loved your video and wanted to know what do you use to track your protein, fat and fiber? Is that an app? Thanks again😊

Hi there! Thanks so much! I use MyFitnessPal to track macros. It's an app, but I believe you can also use it on the computer.

When i scanned the chia seeds even for 1/2 tablespoon it was still 1 point, and also the chobani yogart for 1/2 container is 1 point..so how is it zero points??
@PlanningUsHealthy10 ай бұрын
Hmmm...I'm not sure why yours are scanning different. I just double checked my brands and they both still come out to 0 for that amount. That's honestly not the first time I've heard the app scanning different for people. Not sure if there are updates or what. But I always say scan things with what your scan says. 😊

how much do you eat in a normal week of WW
@PlanningUsHealthy6 ай бұрын
That's really hard to say. Each day varies. I range anywhere from I'd say 18 points to 50 points, just depending what's going on that particular week/weekend. I get 23 points a day and 28 weeklies, plus any exercise points. I only eat my dailies and weeklies though, not my exercise points. As far as calories, it ends up averaging out to about 1,500 calories per day. But I'm very short so my needs are much less than the average person. And again, we all have totally different needs and respond differently to foods, calories, etc.
