For beginners, you should take into account if you wanna play beat it that the tuning of the strings is Eb for the 6th, Ab for the fifth, Db for the forth, Gb for the third, Bb for the second and eb for the fist string

@@garygroenestein1009 I’m aware that the tablature even shows it that way as well. Hetfeild incorporated the open G string and let’s it ring instead of 5th fret as he hits 6th then 5th on top E string. I played it the way this guy and the book shows for over a decade and it sounds fine. I seen a guitar lesson video on KZbin of how to play it and I’m pretty sure he is right. Watch The mighty Hets fingering closely as he plays it. It’s a minor detail that was a pain in the ass for me to correct after playing it this way for so long without anyone noticing.

Enter sandman is wrong. You have to hold the 5th fret note on the 4th string while playing the last 2 notes on the 6th string. Most people get it wrong. Didn't know for about 15 years
