She has been working on her vocals so much! No one could have expected that at this point in her life and career. To be honest, she could be even better now than in the past, on some aspects at least. Like the level of control she has when executing certains runs, it sounds more in control than when she was in her 20th when she was sometimes all over the place. It's also the level of complexity of certains notes like 4:49 that is incredible, girl is still a risk taker! It's crazy that she's still underrated. Hope people would look back on her to acknowledge the immense vocalist she is

Mariah was never finding a new prime, the reason she was sounding good 10 years ago - was her pregnancy and her restricting lifestyle hence she was also caring about her voice. After that everything quickly went downhill. Although quarantine helped her as well as it did to many other touring/recording artists

I think during bionic and lotus Era, she was aware something is wrong. We fighters can even observe it. It was heartbreaking for me listening and watching her on stage. As a fighter I'm so glad she's finally in control with her voice now. There's ease and control compared when she was younger. Whoever her vocal coach, props to them. Keep singing queen. Christina is not in her 2nd prime! She’s just found a place where her voice shines most… and that isn’t trying to hit crazy high belts, it’s vocalizing where she knows she can control her voice most. It’s like she’s reached a vocal peak, because in a prime you have the most usable range in your career. Christina is at a peak right now because she’s technically better… although nothing above C5 is supported here… the C5 note is supported! Additionally, her notes aren’t sounding as scratchy as they used to and she found a great placement for her notes (most of the time). Now all she needs to work on is support and she’ll be fine.

Her support is very much engaged, lmao, her problem is the weight of her belts (cause you can't belt forever, there's a natural limit for every single human being, you have to lighten up at some point even while being a soprano). Xtina just belts at top of her possible range with as much weight as she can and THAT'S the reason she can't go higher. Imagine a tenor doing a shouty meaty B4/C5 and asking him to go higher while NOT changing the approach. Why are you asking females to do such a thing? It's no different. It has nothing to do with the support thing which isn't even logical, lmao, it's been a while and I thought this misconception has died off already but apparently, zealots are still doing their thing...
