I've seen many top lists, but this one really made me enjoy it more because you included a gaming experience you enjoyed with your mom. Just like me playing the Donkey Kong Country series with my dad, and Dr Robotniks Mean Bean Machine with both of my parents. The little things like that really give you a nostalgia overload.

Edit: You're entitled to not have to like FF VII, nothing wrong with that. I'm just sad that you didn't get to enjoy the story like many of us did. Otherwise, carry on. FF IX is fantastic, so we can agree there.

I don't agree with this list, but I gave you a thumbs up anyway, the reason is: You made a list based on your experience with each one of these games, and not a list of "pre-made" best games. So, nicely done! I liked to see your list, and I found it very cool that you've included Digimon / Oddworld / Medieval 2 on it. Like someone said before, I think you are that kind of guy (like me) that would enjoy playing "Jade Cocoon". Its a game similar to Digimon / Pokemon but with an amazing different thing: You can fusion your catched "monsters". Give it a try! Jade Cocoon its a game that I'am still playing today (I'm trying to complete the game, because I never got the chance to, in the past) =)

Abe's Odyssey is one of the few games my whole family would (and more-importantly COULD) play when I was a kid and PS1 was still the top console. The "clunky" controls are part of the game. The movement is more-so like a 2D checker/chess board, compared to free-movement, but this is crucial to play certain aspects of the game. It's also gets a lot easier when you realize "Every time I tap left, Abe moves forward one block (unless he's rolling)." PLUS, if something went wrong and you didn't know what to do... you could just grab all of the triggers, and pray! "YoouuuuuuuouououuYoouuuuuuuouououuYoouuuuuuuouououuYoouuuuuuuouououuYoouuuuuuuouououu"

I think yours is the first list I’ve seen to include Crash 2, Spyro 2, and Bust-A-Move 2, that’s awesome. I love all the first 3 Crash games, but if I could only ever play one again it would be 2, it’s the perfect Crash game. I love Warped too, but there’s too many vehicle levels (motorcycle/tiger/jet ski/plane), where 2 is almost entirely straight platforming. Same with Spyro 3, they throw a little too much into the mix where 2 was perfect. Also Bust-A-Move 2 is one of the best 2 player games ever IMO, so much fun to beat your friends, or mom haha.

RTS is fun, but there are layers to it. If all you want is to have fun, build order only matters to beat the game. But if you want a challenge or be competitive you play it differently. That's why I love the remaster. It allows new players and novices to have fun with low difficulty and slow speeds, but gives seasoned players challenges with difficulty, game speed, achievements, and multiplayer. I feel like RTS is still got a lot to offer.

I disagree slightly w this list, but appreciate your unique choices outside of what most KZbin videos choose? A lot of the games on your list, I have never played.. but I was happy to see Tekken three as I got that game for my 13th birthday and it was the first revolutionary 3-D fighting game that used a 360° movement system for the character to fight in, whereas all other fighters on the market you could only move forward and backwards, there was no side step into the foreground or background.. Plus Tekken three for the time looked amazing! A top 25 that doesn’t have: Metal gear solid Gran Turismo Gran Turismo 2 Resident evil Resident evil 2 silent hill Ridge racer Rage racer Twisted metal 1 & 2 Xenogears Driver Dino Crisis Fear Effect (this game looks good, even by today) And so many more, it would be hard for me to make a top 25 list, but I know the games that would be in the top 10.. even though Gran Turismo is a racing game and because of that it attracts a certain audience, I would still have it in the top 10, if not the top five just for how big it was at the time, and how far polyphony Digital pushed the graphics capabilities of the PlayStation one, no other developer pushed it as far! But that’s always the case, I would argue resident evil games maybe but they use pre-render background so they’re really just pushing the console where their character models in zombies are concerned?? Metal gear solid was definitely a choice product and it completely changed the landscape of cinematic action games moving forward and let people know that games could be as good as movies if not better!! This is a list I can agree with as I said before but, at least you had choices that were different than the majority of other “top PlayStation games list“ out there?!

As a fellow Command and Conquer: Red Alert PS1-player (and cheater), here's a few of my favourites... Warzone 2100 - a post-apocalyptic strategy game where your bases and armies carry over from mission to mission. Circuit Breakers - a driving game that was probably a Micro Machines rip-off, but I never played those games, so I only just noticed that. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver - a dark fantasy adventure with some excellent, eloquent dialogue. Metal Gear Solid - probably doesn't need much explaining... Final Fantasy VII - also probably doesn't need much explaining... G-Police - a sci-fi piloting game, where you and your wingmen defend the domed cities of Callisto from crime syndicates and corrupt mega-corporations.

In the US calling the "super-n-e-s" the "snes or snez" out loud, or anything other than typing is slang for "i use this acronym instead of getting laid". I bloody love that game I really want a modern version of it. Imagine how fun that would be with online multiplayer and leagues.

Can someone help I’m trying to remember a game from my child hood, it’s a level based, fighting/Kung fu and martial arts game. All I remember is the beginning cutscene I think your in prison about to be put to the electric chair and a guard turns into a dragon and takes you to a different world. Any ideas people please.?

I was gonna mention a game then found out it was #1 on the list! Awesome unique game 👍
I would trade command and conquer for warcraft 2, I like the original theme park over world would put that in my top 25. I don't understand the list that exclude games out of punishment of being a similar name or a sequel. The digimon game that you had to swap CDs to get certain digimon was good.
