i always wonder why there are so few games where you play or atleast can choose to play as the "bad" guy. but then i see people say shit like "i always destroy the dark brotherhood because i dont want to play a killer" when talking about skyrim for example.

People are just simply too soft and are just scared to hurt an fictional character feeling Especially in games like baldur's gate when people talk about how they can't get themselves to do bad things

@@aidenhollern3299 Infamous? Then prototype fits the the bill 100 times more. Maybe games like the darkness 1/2 and Vampire Bloodlines is worth mention too. But one of the main issue with most of these are that you are fighting other "bad" guys/monsters,, it is not them you shall fight, if anything they should be on your side. Or they are joke games like evil genius/tropico. ... And it shall be no, zero, nada puzzles.

The first game i remember playing as a villain was Dungeon Keeper by Bullfrog back in about 1997. It was great at the time, fighting off heroes invading your dungeon and recruiting monsters.

Revenous Devils is a great game, Hitman is one of my fav games I have played hundred of hours and enjoyed every minute, got replay value and I never get bored playing the game, RDR 2 is a masterpiece, I haven't played a game so perfect, everything ion the game is perfect every single details and also the story, thank you for this video

You have forgotten to say that Evil Genius soundtrack is absolutely awesome. Actual games where you are the villain? What about "Brigador"? You are a deranged psycopath (psycopathy multiplied by ten if you play as a spacer) piloting a war machine with the sole reason of bring back the control of a forgotten planet to a greedy megacorporation from the hands of a deceased corrupt dictator.

Hitman and GTA are somewhat on the fence. Yeah you are the bad guy, but not the villan. Agent 47 kills some people who did not deserve to die, but then regarding overarching story (although it depends on the title) he goes against actuall villans, trying to save someone - in Silent Assassin for example you are kind of a good guy... well unless you murder everyone on your path. GTA is the same, depending on the game you are a crimminal but not a rotten to the core every time, although still the balance for most GTA protagonists leans to being just a bad person.

I would like to add one more game to the list solar 2 kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpqck5J6bJ19aK8 It's older but a lot of fun. You start out as a small asteroid. Work your way up to the planet by colliding with other asteroids. As a planet you can also host a civilization that attacks everyone. Or you become a star and catch a lot of planets with their own civilizations and marrode through the universe. When you get fed up with that, you become a black hole and just suck it all in. Until at some point you have grown so big that you become the big bang.
