I guess the WD tripled in price since this video came out. That link brings you to a $466 , not the $150 mentioned in the video. Is there a reason for this or just a different model?

You looked after NASses with disks. The prices the video author mentioned are for diskless version. Then you will get (in GER) the NAS at a price of 130-180€, which compares to the 150$.
