I am a dedicated Pocket gun enthusiast. Have belonged to a Club that specializes in them since the LCP first came out. I own many. The Beretta Pico is my number one choice. A extremely under rated, under appreciated firearm. Extremely well built. Will go thousands of rounds when other's bite the dust with cracks, split rails etc. Modular design which makes is so easy to work on, few parts. Stainless steel throughout the gun. Top quality magazines with metal follower. Easy to add night sights. Ounce for ounce, one of the best firearms every made.

The P938 has an extended 7 rnd mag, I have three plus the original 6 rnd. I also have the DeSantis pocket holster which I use to keep the P938 at nigh and available. My preferred carry are custom OWB pancake holsters, one snap on the belt like a normal pancake and one paddle pancake for easy on/off. The DeSantis also works well with jackets.

My 642 pro is so easy to throw into a coat pocket for a quick run to A store or something. With the long hard DA trigger pull it’s extremely safe to carry even without a holster in a coat pocket as long as the pocket is empty. 👍🏻

My first civilian firearm was a Bodyguard 380. I never liked lugging around a Colt 45 service pistol and wanted something that was small, lightweight, and easy to conceal. It's a hammer fired semi auto with a long trigger pull like a revolver. The Bodyguard fits in a front pocket and no one knows I carry it. I daily pocket carry the Sig P-938 in an Alien Gear Shapeshifter holster that’s designed for pocket carry. The pistol is reliable and accurate. The holster is designed to remain in the pocket upon draw, and its design obscures printing very well. I’m very pleased with this setup. Great video sir! P938 & 642 airweight ALL DAY!💪👍
@yellowboxster062 жыл бұрын
Great video. I have now gained confidence in my 2013-vintage P938 to where I trust it even with the 7-round magazine. Being fundamentally a 1911 person I like this particular Sig because my 1911 training is somewhat transferrable. I never had an issue with the 6-round magazine but the earlier 7-rounders were terrible. Very recently I noticed some physical differences between my legacy 7-round magazines and the newest iteration. I switched to the gen 2 mag release and the new 7-round magazine and the gun is now truly trust-worthy. The P938 is very accurate and I rank it as my best pocket-carry gun. My number two would be my Ruger LCP Max followed by my Walther PPS M2. But as you point out it’s a highly, personal-preference decision. For the up close and personal PD scenarios most civilians may face, the .380 ACP is more than adequate in my opinion. And, since I’m not in the counter-insurgency business any longer I don’t place high capacity on my priority list. I do put high priority on reliability.

It's nice that you are presenting this personally without a tight script and without a computer voice. Accordingly, I have subscribed. The Glock 42 is probably the only Glock I would buy. I think it stands apart from the other "pocket" pistols as a better behaved gun. And I recognise it as more manageable than the 43. Frankly, I wouldn't buy a micro 9mm. While the 42 is large for a micro/pocket pistol, its thinness is an advantage. Among larger guns there are so many more exciting models than Glocks, which are equally well-behaved.

For a couple years I carried a Kahr cm9, this is smaller than all 3 of the guns shown here, and chambered in 9mm. 6+1 capacity, striker fired with a long tuned revolver type trigger. Throw it in any pocket holster and you are good to go. Even in jeans. Since then however, I prefer belt carry, people don’t care what’s under your shirt anyway, it’s a quick draw and I can carry up to a 17 round capacity, with as light as a tshirt. I prefer an undershirt with a Hawaiian type shirt un-tucked.

A very good video. I have a variety of pocket carry handguns such as the Kel-Tec P32, Ruger LCP, S&W 642, Kahr PM9, and a Ruger LC9S. Of these I find the J frame works least best for pant pocket concealment due to its length. What ends up happening is the butt is peaking out of my pocket unless the pockets are deep. But it is ultra-reliable and smooth as a cue ball on the draw. And, strangely enough, that grip that seems to constantly wants to peak out is also the easiest of all these mentioned holstered handguns for me to draw from a pant pocket. The P32 and LCP are hands down the lightest and thinnest, thus most concealable with never a weight issue at all tugging your pant or shorts down. The LCP's drawback is they take a lot of practice to master. The P32 is actually far easier to shoot over the LCP and does not have that stinging snap. In the 9mm camp the Kahr is my number one choice. Thin, light, extremely reliable and very concealable and easy to shoot. The LC9S is a bit bulkier but the price is right for the budget limited. I prefer well-made leather pocket holsters but also own the Desantis Nemesis as well for each of those guns too.

Well, close!... :>0 My top 3 pocket carry guns are: The Seecamp LWS .32"ACP; The Glock 42 .380"ACP and The S&W 642 ProSeries .38"Spl. And each brings a specific functionality to the table that I find important, aside from all of them been totally reliable and easy to conceal/carry in a pocket. I find the LWS really easy to conceal under ANY circumstance, probably even if I'm only wearing my boxer shorts, but it's NOT the easiest/pleasant pistol to shoot. The G42 is a sweet pistol to shoot well, even at distance. The 642 can fire 5 times through a coat pocket, or at contact distance (and I mean shoved-into the perp through the coat pocket...) without any reliability issues. I'am also particular to Kramer pocket holsters and that's what I carry these in my pants pockets. Great information...

L.W. Seacamp, the Rolex of pocket pistols. IF you can afford it and IF you can find it, buy one
@joewest19722 жыл бұрын
For me pocket carry means pocket carry. Two thoughts follow. (well 3 counting affordability) The very first thoughts for best pocket carry is WEIGHT. Specific attention to weight, which is often generically referenced in these reviews but far to often never specifically stated. This has always baffled me in these reviews. The reason specific weight should be noted and of primary consideration is because along with that will most often be size. The lighter the gun most often the smaller it would be. Considering available options over 14oz is definitely too heavy for "pocket carry". The gun you throw in your pocket and go. Next would be the physical traits of the gun i.e. things on the gun that might catch on clothes which could lead to fumbling and inadvertently grabbing the trigger. IMPO that Sig would fail miserably in both counts. If someone asked me which guns make for the best lint catching "pocket carry" guns I instantly think of a few. In this order of thought, Kel Tec P32, and P3AT, Taurus Spectrum and similar, the LCPs, then the heavier S&W Bodyguard ( which in my view is a bit on the heavy side considering available choices. For EDC holstered guns, I'd be looking at guns under 19oz. Plenty available in full 9mm. SCCY, Ruger, and the Taurus GX4 and for me, never a gun with external safety.
