For the Hatchet / Life Staff, you should consider swapping the last talent in Protector to the one that gives everyone in your party that mana regen buff. 3% mana regen kinda sucks, but your big heal hits 30% harder for every buff on the target.

so theres a few points id like to discuss about the spear/bow build. 1) it should be mentioned that your highest (consistent) damage output will come from the spear if built and played correctly, so going 50 Str + 250 Dex ends up as a significant increase in damage and the bows fall-off is negligible. 2) taking both vault kick and sweep is a HUGE LOSS of dps output. Skewer provides an empowered buff that you can literally have 100% uptime of, if you make sure you hit the back of your target AND it keeps a bleed on the target which also increases all spear damage by 10% thanks to impalers final perk. sacrificing this ability to have 2 control skills should not be done unless you are seriously struggling with solo content (which you really shouldnt be because your dodge perk can make your sweep/vault kick around 5 second CD anways. Skewer is also useful as a small mobility skill when you need that extra bit of distance to avoid an attack if you're out of stamina. AND if you make sure to dodge roll backward right before each skewer you get a 20% consistent cd reduction that you can incorporate into your rotation. 3) the highest dps variant of this build only uses bow as an auxilliary weapon where you want poison arrow (fully upgraded mastery) and rain of arrows (fully upgraded mastery) to keep extra debuffs on the target for burst windows. IN NO WAY is camping in bow higher dps potential than camping in spear and it should be used AND built around the idea of: switching to bow, quickly dropping PA + ROA, firing off whatever 3rd skill you chose and then right back into spear to carry on untill your bows PA and ROA are ready again. 4) I should mention that you should focus on light attacks and only heavy attack to break stamina bars when needed. 5) lastly, there are several other perks you have chosen that are more favourable to pvp and a DPS LOSS in pve so not too sure how much you actually tried this build... no offense. At 550gs my spear LIGHT ATTACKS are hitting for 5-7k per hit depending on the mob-type you're fighting and that is with crappy perks that are not benefitting me at all. All in all, this build has THE HIGHEST dps potential for single target in pve IF its done correctly.

Rapier firestaff is the best. Rapier for single target and fire staff for aoe. Applicable everywhere too without changing the build

I agree, I’m pure Int build with Rapier/Fire for PvE-Dungeon and for PvP I’m Rapier/Ice, it’s such a mobile burst damage build but very fun

Can someone explain why on the healer build you put 50 points into Strength if the hatchet scales with focus if you socket an Amber gem? That’s the build I’m going with but don’t understand that part.

I tried this build for leveling and immediately notice the huge wait time for mana to regenerate. The only mana restore ability/passive you have is on the ice gauntlet and that’s only when critical hit. Ice block was pushed to so late in leveling that it can’t be used for restoring mana. You also skip the heavy attack cost no mana passive in fire staff that’s a time saver in PVE. It does seem like you’re crafting this build at max level and mainly for expedition and PVP.

Been using Life Staff and Hatchet since release it's a great combo i went with more strength priority but i'm now in the process of using Hatchet with Great Axe so far it's decent and with Great Axe being maxed later on i can see it being great for damage and a bit of CC I use full heavy gear and stock up on potions but Hatchet is very good to get HP back and staying alive and if you're doing dungeons you have buddies that will more than likely heal you too

@@xe1066 Nah, I still run it. I’m a very tankie healer now with strong heals so it’s fun to use in wars. And I’m hard to kill in open world pvp. And running with my friend who runs ice gauntlet fire staff we’ve won our share of 2vx.

magic weapons won't be very good for low lvl, the player will often be out of mana, slowing down the progress

I would recommend to use mana potions are they are incredibly cheap and remember that while you are in the ice block it gives you back mana

use the opal gem i think its called you do more dmg when you stamina isnt full theres a passive that gives you 20% dmg after rolling which synergizes well since as an archer you want to always roll to keep uptime on that passive and to avoid attacks
