Ya man you would be surprised on some mistakes people make! I was raised knowing better so for me it’s pretty well common sense! But I have seen many dogs destroyed like that!!! Great video

i did the throw the bumper behind me with a cap gun or .22. behind my back to muffle it so it’s not a loud crack and work my way up slowly 1 or 2 steps then once he didn’t break on those did the same but beside him and throw the bumper in front of us then worked up from .22/cap gun to more louder

I have heard of people using all three, the one that I love the most is taking a very young pup out on a hunt just to take them and let them experience the "hunt" with 6 shooters and never even get to pick up a bird.

Some good information buddy! Went through 3 labs in my early life...trained, hunted regular, etc...learned everything I know from the book "Water Dog"....still have that thing somewhere :-) Thanks for sharing!

Lol do you have to worry about alligators with your dog's? I'm not a big fan of reading. I've watched hours of KZbin videos. I'm just a rookie dog trainer. I've only been working with Labradors for 5 years. Stay safe.

Not so much...we duck hunt on a river system though and more often than not I’d have to go pickup the dog in the boat bf the current too strong for em...
