Schizophrenia is NOT a personality disorder. It's a psychotic disorder on the spectrum of schizophrenia-related disorders which affects the way one perceives reality, psychosis being one of the central manifestations. Symptoms include but are not limited to positive/psychotic symptoms (hallucinations that can occur in all senses, delusions, disorganization of thought) and negative symptoms (social + anticipatory anhedonia, avolition, alogia, constricted/inappropriate affect), however, symptoms vary drastically among the population. One generally does not have the same combination of symptoms as another, and many common disorders share some defining symptoms, which makes it fairly difficult to diagnose and treat.

I am literally on the edge of a mental breakdown. I feel really, undeniably, abnormal in comparison with others. I have never had any interest in social gatherings, I have trouble keeping eye contact, I understand hard and difficult things but not simple ones; for example, I understand Hawking's black hole theory, but not basic, fifth-grade mathematics. I feel like I am very open to incoming stimuli, definitely my sight. Blinking lights can make me very angry when concentrating. I have to study often, and when I don't, I think and analyze feelings, thoughts, and surroundings. My common, creative, analytical, and logical sense is through the roof and I am able to apply those senses to make qualified guesses to academic fields, that I don't know much of, resulting in somewhat correct answers or unsolved answers. I just had a conversation about murder, where I overanalyzed the difference between why and how it is understandable (or not) to commit murder; why being a question about motive and reasoning, how being a question about moral and ethics. I feel like I overanalyze so much on my everyday basis, stuff people don't think about. I feel like I correct people in my head every time I have a conversation, are listening or reading something a person is presenting. I don't just correct like normal people, I start over-analyzing into how, why, when, and where and I apply that to everything. I hate meaningless small talks. My interests differ a whole lot from others. I can spend hours and hours and hours at a time on my couch, as long as I have the internet to learn. When I am having a conversation, I tend to interrupt myself with different perspectives and even deeper analysis of the given topic. People around me don't understand what I am saying, and if they do, they don't think like that themselves. I am intellectually inclined, good at understanding instruments and their motoric functionality, a poet, a philosopher, a nerd (am studying everything at home. Being law, medicine, linguistics, academics, science, creative fields, mechanics, and construction). I don't trust other people invading my mind, being psychiatrists and such, because I'm very skeptical about other people's academic evaluations of me. But I do rely on people's perception of me. My first and only psychiatrist was through school, and she thought I might have Asperger's autism. I feel like I am questioning people's intellect every single day. I absolutely hate not knowing things and it makes me feel low and stupid. I started communicating very very early, was able to discuss with my parents from the age of 3. I have never had trouble reading or learning accents, which is weird, considered that I have deaf parents who weren't the ones to teach me pronunciation. My vocabulary and flawless writing came into the picture almost immediately. English isn't my first language, but I learned it in about a year and exceeded with new words and grammar very quickly. I have always been in contact with my emotions and thoughts and almost always been able to conclude them. As mentioned, I write poetry, and I often connect deep feelings to abstract and visual things. For example, society = vertical/horizontal platforms. Here you got a very vivid, unasked introduction into my mind-palace. Please, please, and please help me if you have any speculations about what diagnosis or mental conditions I might have. No matter what, I most definitely feel like I have something abnormal going on. Thank you.

I would recommend talking to a psychologist, but I would also say it would hurt searching some of this up. As for what I think you could possibly be experiencing, it may be ADHD and autism causing some symptoms of both making it harder to see one definitive answer. A lot of autistics have amazing vocabulary from a young age, and accents can be connected to ADHD, Hopefully all goes well, just look into what you think is the heart of all of this :)

I have some of the same traits, I have a very clear mental image of everyone I interact with. There’s a lot more but I found out that because I was emotionally abused when I was younger(and it’s SOO hard to notice it) I’ve been living in my imagination. Your mind starts to legit make a story and you are reacting to it. You keep mentioning your intelligence like it has any kind of reason to solve the issue. I think that you want some form of acknowledgment for your intelligence. Here’s something, have you ever taken the mbti test? Try it and see If you’re an Infp. The truth is that the natural functioning of your mind might be really messed up right now.

Also this knowing of things is most likely to confront your anxiety about the future, it is most likely fear. I have the same thing where I started making hundreds of therories which I believe to be 100% correct and how everyone else is wrong. And you may not even listen to me if I said something that would make me seem too different from you. The truth is that you most likely went through something and now you’re deep into your head. You try to find your worth by putting extra weight on and flexing one quality - your intelligence. But the truth is that, I think, you don’t actually want to be doing that shit, If you were you then you would be outside socializing and not trying to figure out everything. Why are you trying to figure everything out? You are searching for something... perhaps out of fear. Just ask yourself when analyzing, what am I doing this for. One more thing, seek a therapist, theres so much going on behind the scenes that you should really go see a professional(even if you think they don’t know much).

I think that with Autism, it could be related to the X chromosome instead of the Y because it is seen in both boys and girls. However, because it is a 5x more likely hood that boys get it as opposed to girls, that leads me to believe that the X chromosome has a high reaction rate to the Y chromosome

Here is a frequent psychological pattern observed by anxious people, which is explained in the chapter “Exhaustion.” These people: Try out the relaxation method and keep focus -> Get good results -> Want to keep up these results -> However, receive disappointing results on the next attempt -> Become anxious -> Feel the need to go back -> Try to relax in order to get the good results back Here, the wrong steps are marked in red. Whether it’s good or bad, let go of the idea that you can continuously maintain those results. Stop resisting against uncertainties. Don't think that the results are purely your responsibility.

My problem was in how I was such a deep and heavy sleeper, that I could not get up in the mornings, and when I did get up, I was hung over sleepy and groggy for hours later. I was in constant trouble at school and I lost several jobs for being late. Thinking I suffered a mental illness, I went to a shrink who could only tell me to get a loud alarm clock, as if I would pay $225 an hour in the need of somebody to tell me something as ridiculously simple as that, or that I wouldn't already have had a loud clock in the first place

I think I might have aspergers, but i'm not sure. I can't tell if it is that or bi-polar. I have some of the social problems that autistic people would have sometimes, but I can still hang out with people and make connections. I am pretty smart, I currently have a 3.9 and im in my senior year of mechanical engineering. The main problem im having right now is no real direction in life. Also, I have never really been in a relationship for over a month, and Ive never had sex. Do i sound like I'm Autistic? I dont want to be, but if i am i am.

Hi, I'm clinically diagnostized with aspergers in France after years of searching, but I have most of the bipolar symptoms. Do you have alot of interests at the same time, or do you have obsessions? you could just have a high IQ, I have a high IQ, too, and it's as hard

@@mikundoli1735 I will go through spells where I have no intrest in anything but video games, sleeping, and watching youtube videos. but I am not sure thats from aspergers, Its more likely just depression. when i'm in a good mood I have many different interests like fighting, fishing and working on machines. The main thing I do that may seem autistic is that I retreat into my mind during conversations trying to find my next thing to say. I usually end up just going blank and not even hearing what the other person was saying. It seems like the less I think about it the better my conversation skills are, but thats way easier said than done for me.

I am in a similar situation where I have been told that I could possibly have it because the only representation my family has seen has been non-verbal Hollywood autistics, so I have researched and have found that stim toys are really helpful, and really good ways to deal with sensory overload

Mostly everyone has these symptoms but you really aren't depressed i had real depression i had to take acid to get rid of it lsd gets rid of your personality and changes it basically it give you a second chance but I know what real depression feels like it feels like you are completely empty and soulless and feel alone and even your family can't save you nothing could cure depression but theirs several things that can treat it I'm still depressed but not as bad like I felt soo depressed I wanted to die every second everytime anyone would talk to me I would just ignore them and people who never experienced real depression will never knows how it feel I don't wish that kid of sadness to anyone not even my worst enemy

I want to tell you that Jesus loves you; you can't even imagine. If you think that He doesn't, than look where you are right now and how far you've got thanks to Him. His love is upon you from the very beginning, when you were born, till now and He will never stop loving you, because you're his precious child. Because of you, He send his only begotten son, Jesus Christ to save you; to pay the debt for your sin once and for all. That is love my friend. His mercy is with you and his guardian angels is all over you (Psalm 91). He knows your troubles and He knows your pain and illness but He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6-8). Be patient and pray about everything. He is truly coming and He's never late. It might looks like that He's late in his coming and He knows that you want to go Home already but be patient and be in prayer for those who aren‘t saved. The time after we leave the earth will be very hard. God bless you, shalom to you all
