So sentimental & heartfully nostalgic mall muzak selections of the early 70s!! An Era so wonderful and sorely missed❤

Actually, this reminds me more of what you used to hear at the Sears auto center in the 70's while you were waiting to have your new set of radial tires put on.

A Muzak version of 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head' would have brought back memories and it's on the Stimulus Progression Number One album as far as I know. :)

Your username semed familiar & l realized that l see your comments on the 'Creature Features' channel. How cool to know that a fellow Torontonian has such good taste by watching old spooky movies with excellent hosts & appreciating this fabulous channel as well 😎

I am Woman was originally performed by Helen Reddy. There’s a nice S1K version knocking about somewhere, and 3M have a well scored version on their Cantata 700 tapes

As a bassist, I learned to love the middle of the neck on the instrument by listening to the awesome bass patterns on these old arrangements--I collect Seeburg 1000 records and am often transcribing basslines from songs that were last heard in stores in the 1970s. These background music media have terrible dynamic range, so the bass player usually didn't hang around the bottom end of the range.

I can hear the players really going for it. Some unintended by-product of commerce that had intrinsic value despite its purpose as a mere lubricant.

These are the tracks I used to hear as a kid at Drug Fair and Safeway (they were once anchor stores of a strip mall). But I also remember hearing "Morning Dance" by Spyro Gyra a lot where I grew up in PA near the MD border. WHAG-TV 25 used Morning Dance for their early local show Today in the Valley. Also the "Valley Mall" used to have this surreal upstairs level with specialty shops that literally looked like a set from a weird Public Television show. I'm old. 50 in March.

If anyone grew up around Hagerstown and remembers the Valley Mall upstairs and the weird one story elevator by the wishing pond, give a like. And Time-Out arcade, Camelot Music and the overwhelming smells of soft pretzels and caramel corn. Make America Early 80s Again!

/ Muzak?? 🤔 / Last Track/ Am I on Time.. Love the Heavy intro. And half a million Frenchmen is a good song as well. In fact I actually like the whole album. I traveled all across the country listening to elevator music and old Muzak stuff. That's actually how I came across your channel. Anyhow you take it easy 🦊

Not so much a Muzak tune (although there may be a Muzak version), but one tune I used to hear a lot in department stores in the early 80s (and probably in the late-70s) was 'Florida Fantasy' as composed by John Barry from the Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman movie 'Midnight Cowboy'. :)

Can Fardemark (in human form) speak now? If so, then a little narration like this, once in a while, would make for a nice change of pace. Besides, your voice is not unpleasant (and you don't sound like a fox, either.)
