This one is one of Mr. Ballen's earliest, so I excuse it now, but the first story bugs me so much. The moniker 'Golden State Killer' was actually not used until 2013. Back in the days these things were taking place, he was known as Original Night Stalker or East Area Rapist (usually abbreviated as ONS/EAR). So hearing him saying that 'by then he was known as another name' bugs me so much even though it shouldn't.

@oougahersharr2 жыл бұрын
@@darkangel4rmk88 I am not sure when it was said, but at the end of the video Jamal repeated the info that D'Angelo was a cop. (I also remember when the case had been busted open by DNA a few years ago. They were able to link three different crime sprees with three different 'suspects' all to the same crime spree and the same suspect. To sum it up quickly, here is an excerpt from Wikipedia (though normally I prefer a more legitimate source). In the end, his linked crime sprees were given the overall name of "The Golden State Killer". Joseph James DeAngelo Jr. (born November 8, 1945) is an American serial killer, serial rapist, burglar, and former police officer who committed at least 13 murders, 51 rapes, and 120 burglaries across California between 1974 and 1986.[4][5][6] He was responsible for at least three separate crime sprees throughout the state, each of which spawned a different nickname in the press, before it became evident that they were committed by the same person. In the San Joaquin Valley, he was known as the Visalia Ransacker before moving to the Sacramento area, where he became known as the East Area Rapist and was linked by modus operandi to additional attacks in Contra Costa County, Stockton, and Modesto.[7][8] DeAngelo committed serial murders in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Orange counties, where he was known as the Night Stalker and later the Original Night Stalker (owing to serial killer Richard Ramirez also being called the "Night Stalker"). He is believed to have taunted and threatened both victims and police in obscene phone calls and possibly written communications.

The Columbine one will always make me angry. Folks went on for ages wondering why they did it and talking about the effects of bullying. I heard those two actually were bullies, not the other way around. I dunno. But the result of all the speculation cuts both ways. On the one hand, it paints a bullseye right on the forehead of every awkward kid and outsider in every school, whether that kid would ever hurt anyone or not, but on the other hand, the adults keep yapping about the effects of bullying but don’t do a damn thing about it.
@blagageorge38242 жыл бұрын
most bullies were themselves bullied at some point. I myself got bullied all through school and let me tell you, wanting to strike back at not just the bullies but everyone who sat by, watched and did nothing or pretended to see nothing is not a small feeling. fortunately, there were people who stood up for me and that helped me not snap (and I'm not a violent person by nature, in any case, but who knows). many people don't have that luck and they eventually take their fantasies out in reality. if they had more violent tendencies to begin with, it can become a ticking time bomb

@mortimerbrewster36712 жыл бұрын
The worst thing about the speculation after 25 years is we know the reason for the mass shootings (the majority of them) but the agendas will never let the reason be addressed. The politicians always go straight to gun conversation and the few of them that focus on the fact that these people are crazy and medicated is ignored. The ones that finally do focus on it don't try to fix the problem (the pharmaceutical industry wouldn't let them since it's in the drugs) but instead just create laws that can be abused by exes and angry friends/family members. A simple observation shows an escalation in the violence tied in with the "improved" medicine. Any real scientist in search of "ground-breaking" research would be able to figure it out but something tells me that person(s) wouldn't be able to get it published.

It's good story telling in the form of 10 minute documentaries about a variety of horrible events. Both recent and historic. Famous disasters, murders, accidents, and my personal favorite, horrific fatal or disfiguring amusement park ride accidents. (the "Superman Drop Tower accident" will haunt you.) And, don't miss the "The Who Concert Crush" mini-doc. About a tragic incident occurring December 3, 1979 in Cincinati Ohio. 11 people died. All stories are all entirely factual, there is no need to sensationalize these tales. I hope you'll check it out.

The second one seems odd, how did no one go into that room and see the bodies if there was a big party and as was said people were disrespecting the house. Someone would have certainly not only seen the blood but gone into the room.
