As I grow older, I tend to shy away from heavy/oily ramens like Jiro/tsukemen/tonkotsu ramen so Kitakata/Sano type light shoyu ramens are perfect for me. Tanmen & Hakodate shio ramen are also another favorite of mine.
Welcome to Fukushima Prefecture! Fukushima Prefecture has Shirakawa ramen as well as Kitakata ramen. Shirakawa Ramen as well as Kitakata Ramen. Please come and visit us there too!

It looks delicious!! 😍 Thank you for the recommendation, we'll definitely try it when we can!
My family and I had tried ramen for dinner in a ramen restaurant (Kyushu Ramen Kio Ebisucho) at the opposite street of the hotel where we stayed, and one as a midnight snack during JPT 9-10pm on this Wednesday to Thursday, before flew back to Hong Kong yesterday afternoon, they were so delicious.

Wow it looks so good! I'd like to try it someday too 🤤. I didn't realise you were visiting Japan, but I hope you had an amazing trip and I'm glad to know you got back safely! 😊
Japan has many ramen restaurants. Here in Okinawa, we have ramen plus Okinawa soba, which is a thicker noodles. They serve it with sliced pork, and it's delicious!! Take care.

For some reason, Kitakata ramen feels especially delicious when you eat it at the main branch in Kitagawa City. Soy sauce ramen has a light and refreshing taste. Yamagata City in Yamagata Prefecture next to Fukushima Prefecture also has delicious ramen. It is the city with the highest consumption of ramen in Japan, so please visit and try it next time.
