I recommend these ramen shops: 1. Menya Takahashi (麺屋 髙橋) - Tsukemen with cold noodles in Sapporo 2. IRUCA-Tokyo- Roppongi (入鹿TOKYO 六本木) - Special Yuzu Shio Ramen 3. Ramen Iida Shoten (らぁ麺飯田商店) - Shio Tsukemen, highest ranking ramen shop in all of Japan, in Kanagawa 4. Seijo Seika (成城青果) - Shio Ramen; started in June 2020, yet it was already one of the highest-ranking ramen shops in Tabelog, in Tokyo 5. Ramen Maikagura (らーめんMAIKAGURA) - Tori Paitan Chicken with white truffle oil and a poached egg in Tokyo 6. Chuukasoba Uemachi (中華そば うえまち) - Has one of the best shoyu ramen in Osaka 7. Dateya (伊達屋) - Shoyu and shio ramen in Fukushima 8. Stamina Ramen Suzuki (元祖スタミナ満点ラーメン すず鬼) - One of the most powerful and punching bowls of ramen in Tokyo You can search ramen reviews such as Ramen Guide Japan, Nama Japan, and 5 AM Ramen with Ramen Guide Japan being the most detailed review to 5 AM Ramen with an overview of ramen shops. You can also read Frank's (5 AM Ramen) take on "Is Ramen Unhealthy? An Experts Take."

Mark, I've been a follower for years. I've watched your child grow up and I want to say what a pleasure it is to watch your life blossom. I love your family as much as my own and wish you the best in life. I recently lost my father but we make our children simplify the simple things in life that bring us the small moments of joy. Ramen is my families pleasure as they were raised in Japan but we don't always appreciate the broth. I do. I always do.

Mark, it's so great to hear and see Micah again I'd love to have him featured more to his reactions to the food. It can never be a dull flavorless day with you as a dad I'm sure, and I think a lot of kids might be more interested in trying different cultures food if they saw Micah more. Just a thought. Hope you all had a wonderful trip!

I remember being Micah's age. Food can still be an issue. Micah will probably be able to express his food wishes better when he's 12, 13 or 14.
@allegramcwilliams69175 ай бұрын
@@MrKmoconne you are probably right. He may be too young. I'm just really impressed, and kinda jealous, that he gets to try all these other foods from so many different cultures! It's such an amazing thing to be able to do at such a young age. I truly think that Micah would be a terrific ambassador for kids his age to be able to not be afraid of trying food from around the world!
@MrKmoconne5 ай бұрын
@@allegramcwilliams6917 I remember not liking foods that I now love but I had an advantage in that I had a father that loved all kinds of food and a mother that was a good cook. What Micah at such a young age is probably lacking right now, is a vocabulary to articulate his ideas about food that he likes or dislikes. Children's palates are so young, their minds can't process what they are tasting. I think children have palates that evolve with age. Some times those palates never adapt. I still would never order liver, if I can eat steak.

Omgoodness!! What a marvelous episode!! I absolutely love ramen noodles especially a nice significant crafted bowl prepared by a experienced ramen chef. This was my first introduction to Ramen Beast who is an American citizen influenced by urban NY culture with a mixed in Japanese based fusion which is fascinating & intriguing to vibe with Mark scarfing down authentic fresh ramen in Osaka. I admire the context of chefs preparing cuisines in a close upfront presence in the shops displayed providing a more intimate personal experience for each individual as a collective is an essential approach I highly appreciate. The fact that ramen is such a simple satisfying cuisine with an substantial international appeal is what makes it so relevant overall. However, the Chinese ramen on the last location was my favorite, being the options of selective spiciness and numbness is an phenomenal addition to enhance a ramen experience. Thanks Mark for this epic collab with Ramen Beast which magnified this remarkable episode!! Amazing content for sure like always!! Wishing you, Ying, & Micah safe travels and many more blessings always!! Cheers my friend!! 🥣🍜🥢🍶🍻
